Day 1:
I’ve just finished up the last of my interview questions, when I feel clunk on the back of my head, as I fade in and out of consciousness I find myself at my mother’s house (who I moved back in with for work) front door. I managed to make my way up to my childhood room and fall asleep ready for a long first day of work.
Day 2:
Waking up in my old room feels weird, but I head out and bump into my sister on the upper landing, “Oh hey sis, long time no see.”
“Get bent.”
We both head down to the kitchen were mom is making some coffee and breakfast, “Hey you two, glad your home honey, and congrats on the job! Now what do you do exactly?”
“Well mom it’s a pharmacy type company, mainly R&D on new medications”
Finishing up breakfast I head out the door where a black van is waiting to bring me to work, I hop in and the person opposite says, “Hello, I’m your research assistant Penny, I’ll be your right hand, working right underneath you.”
We make it to the labs and head down into the basement areas where Penny says, “We are top secret as you know so it’s all underground both metaphorically and litterally, we’re in the lab at the end of this hall on sub floor 4.”
We enter the labs and start taking inventory on the chemicals around, there isn’t a lot of inventory to begin with but it’s enough to start making the new syrum I made my thesis on, a hypnotic suggestion. We’d been working all morning in through lunch until closing time when both Penny and myself headed back up and out the building into seperate cars to bring us to our respective housing.
Walking through the front door I can hear the TV on so I head over and see my mom and sister, deciding it was a long day I just head up to my room and call it a day.
