"They are giving him to Brayden since they have no use for a pair of shoes."
"No fair," cries Dakota.
"That's how it is," replies Mr Jackson, "Any further questions will go towards Brayden."
Brayden looks down at the black shoes and picks them up. He sighs and can't believe his best friend is trapped in that form. Scared and helpless, unable to even communicate.
"Put them in your bag Brayden," says Mr Jackson. Brayden hesitates and says, "I'm sorry," to the shoes before placing them into his backpack. Mr Jackson resumes class like normal, albeit with one less student.
Brayden can't help but notice Dakota staring at his backpack.
