The first week of May began... not really with a bang, more like a 'splat', for the simple fact that it rained... hard. Because of that, there wasn't too much going on outside, but then again there wasn't too much of anything going on because almost everyone was getting ready for Animalia's summer events, which would be starting in the third week. That didn't mean that there was just prep work going on.
---
Because of Mother's Day, there was a Mother's Day photoshoot at ASM. It was one of the more amusing things going on because it was one of the ways that Animalian parents would let of some steam (for the parents) or embarrass the heck out of their children (for the children, especially the late teenage/early adulthood ones). There were also some expectant mothers who took part of this, and though everything inappropriate was covered up, there was still some controversy, though it was minor compared to other internet controversies.
---
Speaking of which, Animalia's new, unofficial, cryptocurrency was generating quite a bit of controversy, though not in the usual way crypto was. With its price remaining steady, partly due to Animalia's popularity, there were all kinds of rumors and speculation going around from Animalia embracing the tokens as its own official currency to Animalia using it to fund a world domination plot (again spread by sensationalists who couldn't tell their left hands from their rights due to their obsessions). As an interviewer from Forbes magazine made it perfectly clear in their article about it, the creator never intended any of 'those claims' and had only made it for fun.

What was probably generating the most popularity on the website was Heiya Island's Great Water Festival. Most of the popularity was because of the curves of Female Animalians, but there was a small percentage (around 33%) that focused on the commentary, since it was done by Japanese commentators, which are fun to listen to, even if you don't speak the language.
What was probably the funniest of said festival was Morgan, because not only was she entered into the contest against her will as one of her punishments, she also did surprisingly well in the contest. While she didn't win due to her "lack of showmanship", third place was nothing to sniff at, especially her reaction to it. While she was still embarrassed about it, her prize made up for it a little bit.
