Ms. Tomlin points at you. "Why don't you go first?"
You pause for a moment, reconsidering.
"Come on, come up!" encouraged Ms. Tomlin. With no other alternative, you slowly get up from your seat and shuffle to the front of the room.
Ms. Tomlin turns around and takes a clear vial from her desk, before uncapping it and giving it to you. The liquid inside is colored a deep brown and gives off pungent fumes that . "Drink this" she says. "The rest of you, make sure to pay close attention." You lift the vial to your mouth and drink the fluid. The liquid has a taste that you can't even begin to describe.
Once you swallow it, a warm feeling runs through your body, before giving way to a strange itching. As you scratch your arm, you notice small, orange hairs growing over it. "What the-" you say, but stop as you feel the fur grows thicker and spread all over your body, forming a pattern of orange with black stripes. You raise your hand up and watch as your nails darken, growing longer and sharper, and thick pads puff out on your palms. You grit your teeth as your canines also grow longer, becoming sharp fangs.
The class watches as your fur-covered feet stretch, ripping your shoes. These, too, sport claws and pads. As you fall to all fours, quiet pops emit from your body as your bones and muscles reshape and expand. You feel your tailbone lengthen into a long tiger's tail.
Your ears grow into a a round shape and slowly move to the top of your head, where your hair is being replaced by the same orange-and-black fur. You feel prickles near your nose and mouth as long, white hairs - no, whiskers - grow. Finally, the transformation finishes as your face elongates into a feline muzzle.
You slowly get on your four legs and look around with an amber gaze. The other students stare at you in awe.
Ms. Tomlin claps her hands. "Well, there you have it! Our first transformation! Any questions? No? Well, then, who's next?"
