Betting with Sean

added A year ago TG

You open the door and welcome Sean, Joan and their children.

Sean towers over you, a bear of a man, 6 feet 5 inches tall. He is holding a stroller with his two-year-old son Tom inside. Seeing him you realize how small and light you are now. He is really muscular, and you think he would have no trouble picking you up and carrying you on his shoulder.

Joan is a curvy blond, always cheerful and energetic. She wears a red sundress and stiletto heels, and is almost the same height as you. Her opal earrings remind you that you forgot to put on jewelry.

Maddie is a cute 7-year-old girl, as blond as her mother. She is quite shy and hides behind Joan.

You greet them and invite them to sit on the couch in the living room. Fiona asks what they whant to drink and go to the kitchen get their drinks. Joan asks you for news. You start talking and you gain self-confidence. In the end, it's not that hard to impersonate Fiona.

Fiona comes back with the drinks and, after a few minutes of small talk, he diverts the conversation to magic and the supernatural. Joane is open to the existence of magic, but Sean is particularly skeptical.

"I bet you $100 that I can prove to you the existence of magic in the next 15 minutes." Fiona says confidently

"Agreed. I'm really curious of how you intend to prove it."

"Don't do it Dad, I don't want you to lose!", Maddie says.

"I won't lose sweetie. Even if magic really exists, I am sure Mark isn't a wizard.

Fiona then walks up to Joan and says, "You and Fiona have known each other for a long time. Ask me something that only Fiona can know that she would never have told me. I'll telepathically get the answer from her mind."

Joan thinks for a moment and asks "What was the name of our math teacher in tenth grade?"

"Thats easy, it was Mr. Partington. An awful teacher. It's because of him that I..., that Fiona hates math."

You can tell Joan is impressed by Fiona's quick answer. Sean doesn't look really convinced.

"You could have prepared probable questions in advance or or worked out a secret communication system with Fiona." he said, waving at me. "I would need a better proof than that if you want to win this bet."

"Alright", Fiona replies. "You are right, I have no power of telepathy. The reason I could answer the question it is that I am really Fiona. Mark found an item which turned him into me. I tried it too and became him."

"It is true, I'm really Mark." I say. "It's weird to have the body of Fiona. This morning, I bought a pair of socks. When you put on those socks and then someone else's shoes, you transform into them."

So I get up from the couch I head to the bedroom to fetch the socks.

"Try them on", you say, handing the socks to Sean . "Otherwise you'll never believe me. If you want I can lend you a pair of my shoes or Fiona's shoes."

Joan and Maddie stare silently at the socks. You do not know if they are eager to try them or if they just want to see what Sean will do.

“So who wants to try those socks?" You ask.
