It had been listing job advertisements in the local papers for weeks, but you still weren't entirely sure what it was for. The ads spoke of the farm of the future, with the highest technology and the rarest produce and breeds. What the farm wasn't advertising that the reason some of these breeds and produce were so rare is that they came from a human stock to begin with.
But a number of positions were allegedly available, both in permanent and gig contracts, and they were seemingly still open for interviews. The job market was hard right now, so what could be the harm in going along and interviewing for a position?
The farm was a little outside of the city, so a car, taxi or ridesharing service was needed to get out to it. During the day, the farm looked almost eerie, the pastures and yards looking near-empty except for a few wandering hens and horses, the farm building itself looking less like a rustic farmhouse and more like an aluminum-and-glass facility, looming over the more traditional-looking farm buildings, with a clearly marked reception, staffed by a young lady shuffling some paperwork around.
