The day had finally arrived. Prom was about to happen and with that the vampires plan was set in motion. Miro now summoned forth his lieutenants, to finalize their master plan. "Is everything in order?"
"Yes my Lord," Donovan stated. "Prince Wyatt's has gone smoothly. The older wizards have departed. Leaving the younger ones and the children unprotected."
"As an added bonus my Lord," Hannibal added. "We have had a decoy of you appear where the elder wizards are. They believe you are where they are located." Miro nodded, a small smirk spreading across his face. Keeping the elder wizards distracted was crucial if they were to succeed. With them out of the picture the vampires could coordinate a surgical attack to capture Duke and the children.
"Who is watching the children this evening," Miro asked.
"The Turner child is with her parents," Selene stated. "Neither possess magic. The child should be easy to take."
"I task you with that Selene," Miro stated. "Stealth is of the utmost importance though. Be quick and do not alert the parents." Miro now turned to his lieutenants to inquire about the children.
"The Davis child is being watched by her grandparents this evening," Donovan said. "They too have no magic. I will take a small contingent of vampires with me to take the child."
"Make it so Donovan and do so quietly," Miro said. "What of the other children?"
"The Carlson girl is with her mother Kellie," Kyra said softly. "From what we've gathered the woman is a wizard." Miro paused, a small frown spreading across his face. A presence of a wizard made taking this child more difficult. No ordinary vampire could hope of success with her present. "I see," Miro said softly. "Donovan a change of plans. I want both you and Hannibal to abduct the Carlson child."
"My lord," Donovan asked.
"Your subordinates can handle mortals Donovan," Miro said. "I will personally instruct them of the task at hand. If they attempt to attack the Davis child's caregivers I will punish them personally. I am in need of your strength if we are to capture Morgan Carlson." Donovan nodded, confident that his subordinates would not dare defy Miro's orders. "What of the Harris children," Miro asked.
"Two teenage girls are watching the three siblings," Wyatt stated. "I know these girls. They're Freshmen at my school and shouldn't pose much of a threat."
"Your mother and grandmother would be perfect for this task," Miro smirked. "I will inform them myself. What of the brother and sister?"
"While the parents are mortal," Duncan explained. "It appears the father is a soldier of extraordinary skill. He could pose a problem."
Miro now rubbed his chin, a soldier could prove problematic. Even a slight delay in capturing the children could unravel the vampires plans. Miro now cast his glance at the two most efficient warriors of the vampire nation.
"Ken, Ann," Miro said softly. "You two will be tasked with taking the brother and sister." As Ken gave his Lord a slight nod, Ann simply frowned stomping her foot twice. Miro now approached the vampiric smile, gently touching her cheek as he gave her a small smile.
"I know you wish to be by my side little Ann," he said softly. "However the daughter of this soldier has already shown herself to be quite powerful. I need some I can trust to make sure it succeeds." Ann now let out a long sigh, her face expressionless as she stomped her foot once. Miro gave his favorite assassin a warm smile, patting her head. Even if this worst happened, he had no doubts that Ann would succeed.
"Thank you Ann," he said softly. The vampire lord now cast his gaze at his gathered troops. "Wyatt my son," he said. "You, Kyra, and Cassidy are already attending the prom. Duncan and I shall be waiting for your signal. When it the time is right we will capture Duke and make our move."
"My lord you'll be at the prom," Duncan exclaimed..
"The wizards as well as the Moreland child will be present," Moreland stated. "Recapturing my bastard son will alert the wizards of our intentions. Capturing Duke so that he may face our wrath will be the most dangerous. I shall be present to ensure we do not fail in that task."
Miro now stood, his lieutenants joining him as they raised their goblets of blood. "To the future of the vampire nation," Miro exclaimed. "Tonight we ascend to a position of power we so richly deserve."
