You decide to take the books with you to work for a couple reasons. One of them being that someone could break into your house. The other, whoever has the Book of Mind obviously knows or has an idea of who you are. If they come, or send someone to 'take care of you', you don't want to be at a disadvantage.
You arrive to work on time. You quickly make your way to your work cubicle, sit down, and boot up your computer. Almost as soon as the computer boots up, the phone rings. You sigh, and pick up the phone for another day's work.
"Macrosoft Doors Tech Support, how can I help you?"
"Yes, I can't get my computer to boot up." From on the line.
"Is it plugged in?" You ask.
"No. I can't get it to boot up. Why would I plug it in before it boots up?"
After about two hours of phone calls similar to the first, you start to think that maybe the books and all the weird things they attract aren't so bad. You look down below your desk at your bookbag which currently has the books in it.
You could... No, that's probaly a bad idea.
