Animal control was quickly rounding up the docile but confused creatures. Given your additional knowledge and expanded perspective, it was clear to you that some of the creatures were trying to communicate with the animal control people, but the people were trying to hurry and clear the scene so the police can safely investigate.
"Coon, squirrel, birds, dogs, cats, fox, and a deer... If I didn't know better, I'd think they was holding a convention or something." said the younger of the two animal control people.
You were just getting your belt situated as you heard the officer say to the older animal control man, "You need to euthanize them all, we need a tox screen and to check their stomachs to see if they ate any evidence, the sooner the better... maybe we will figure out why they are all here and calm..."
"We're about half done but the deer is a large creature and backup is coming. Just waiting for another truck or two to hold the rest, and the deer more than a two-person job, safety and all."
You wanted to walk away but doing so would allow over 30 people to die as animals, 30 families ruined. Furthermore, missing people would get tracked back to the bank and this story would go viral with conspiracy theories. You just couldn't allow that to happen without trying... despite the fact that it could put you in danger.

A flash of light appeared from a space before you and there stood a confused raccoon, then like popcorn in the microwave, a flood of flashes erupted and then it was done... all the nearby humans turned animals, had appeared, hopefully.
"Mass Transform," you said as you watched all the creatures begin to shift and change as you concentrated on the human form. You quickly exited the alleyway you were in and walked away, cries of alarm erupted as the people working at the scene noticed the animals were missing... a screech erupted a moment later as someone realized they were surrounded by naked people.
You snickered as you collapsed in your car, suddenly feeling overwhelmed by exhaustion... you locked the doors, put the book under your seat, and... book? they merged? Not caring at that instant, you hid it away and passed out almost immediately.
