Kimberly hummed a delightful tune to herself the next morning as she made her way to ‘Oliver’s’ apartment. She knew leaving Olivia alone over night would possibly mean that she’d be waking up wet, so she decided to bring some extra gear with her. She entered the apartment only to hear some soft sobbing coming from the bedroom. “Oh no..” Kimberly muttered to herself as she found Olivia crying alone in her bed. “Kimberwy… is that you?” The toddler said, a slight change in her usual tone of speech. “It’s me, Olly, I’m here.” Kimberly said, cradling the little girl as she felt into her diaper. “Why were you crying?”
“I was scawred.” Olivia uttered between sniffles. “I had a dweam dat I was widdle and and and and dat I wost my big cwose and I was stuck as a baby…” Olivia began to bawl again, convulsing as Kimberly held her firmly, getting brief reassurances and pats on the back. “Olivia, it’s okay, you’re fine. You can turn back whenever you want. We may wanna do that after I change you, you’re starting to sound like a toddler now.”
Olivia sniffled loudly as she nodded and lifted her arms up for Kimberly to take her. She clung to the older girl as she shook with fear, unable to shake the vivid nature of her dream.
As Kimberly placed the tape onto Olivia’s diaper, she hit herself on the forehead and groaned. “Why did I diaper you? We’re about to make you a grown up again and they don’t usually wear those. Sorry, bud.” Kimberly then undressed the toddler then picked her up. “Alrighty, let’s get Oliver back in action!” Kimberly said, then giving Olivia a raspberry right on her belly, causing the little jay bird to giggle quite a store.
As Kimberly and Olivia began to make their way to Olivia’s closet, the two of them realized something had changed in the apartment proper, a large picture frame seemed to have appeared while neither were looking. “What the…” Kimberly said as the two began to take a closer look. The from itself was pink with what appeared to be a newborn version of Olivia, dated 2 years back. “What does it say?” Olivia asked, not fully seeming to grasp that the picture was implying she was 2 years old.
“Olivia, that’s a picture of you as a newborn!” Kimberly exclaimed as the toddler looked in mild bemusement. “Dat’s me?”
Kimberly stared intently at the little girl. “Oliver, how old are you?”
Olivia furrowed her brow for a moment as she lift up a hand with 2 fingers up. “Two-enty fife yeaws old.” The little girl seemed troubled by what she’d said. “Kimmy, I wasn’t suwre what to say thewe. I weally wanted to say two.” She looked at the picture frame with an extremely concerned looked. “I need to turn back wight now!!” She screamed as she looked to Kimberly to take her to the closet.
The two opened the closet to see that it had been emptied out completely, not a single thread of Oliver’s clothing were there. Olivia started to cry a bit. “What’s going on?!” She moaned in fear. Kimberly looked as the room itself seemed to change slightly, as if it had gotten slightly smaller and seemed to be a touch more colorful than before. “Olivia, where’s the ring?” Kimberly asked, Olivia pointed in the direction of a small box with a ring and a set of instructions. Kimberly grabbed the instructions and set the naked toddler onto the bed to read intently.
“Olivia, it says if you spend 15 hours in a form that isn’t someone else’s, reality will shift to make you someone else. I think that Olivia’s becoming more of a real person than Oliver was!” Kimberly looked back to Oliver who seemed to be grabbing at her toes as she didn’t fully seem to care.
“Oliver! Are you listening?”
“Kimmby, my name not Owiver, it Owivia.” She said, no hint of the adult that once was being there.
“Oh no, Olly…” Kimberly said as she looked back to the instructions. It seemed a touch too extreme for it to be like this, but maybe there’s a way to fix this. She read the instructions further only to find…
