The second week of May was important, in a way, since school was mostly out. There were a few that didn't follow that schedule exactly, but May was considered the last month for school.
Of course, thanks to the pandemic, there were going to be a lot more people than usual visiting Animalia and its colonies. While the majority were just visiting for a week or two, partly due to Animalia's summer events, there were a few that were coming in to stay due to conversion. However, the visitors were causing quite a bit of new incidents in Animalia and its colonies.

Abby and Samson only stayed the weekend after school let out because they and Abby's parents were heading out to the City of Kings in India, partly to do official coverage and partly for a real vacation. While they were enjoying the newly finished sauna on the grounds, they gave really specific instructions to Sylvia, including the 'no wild parties' rule, which they were only partly kidding. While Sylvia over-dramatized her disappointment, she knew better than to go behind their backs.

Heiya Island, Dino City and Mieni Atoll were colonies that were absolutely SWAMPED with tourists. Unlike last time, this wasn't simply just college students coming out due to the pandemic, but all kinds of age ranges and groups. In a way, Spring Break was considered preparation for just such a thing, but it was still overwhelming. The latest episode of "Fun and Fins", Mieni Atoll's home television show was considered one of the funniest ones, especially since Susan was bright and peppy at the beginning of the episode and nearly dead by the end, which summed up almost every summer resort's business season.
Part of why Heiya Island had been swamped with tourists, not just from China and Japan, was because China and Japan had officially gotten an agreement on the overall theme of the island: a mix between Ming Dynasty China and Edo Period Japan. The larger part of the reason was that the southern coast of the island was nearly perfect for a beachside resort, mainly because of the fans of the Dead or Alive videogame series, especially because of the Dead or Alive Extreme subseries. Unfortunately, this was causing a surge of difficult/rude/entitled tourists. Fortunately, the Japanese had a surprisingly effective way of dealing with such tourists: using them as the "targets" for their pranks.

Probably what everyone was looking forward to, at least from the comments on the website, was "When Worlds Collide...". There were a lot of theories on what this meant, but the website revealing the overall theme was rather surprising: that we shouldn't be afraid of or prejudiced against others just because they're different. Though nobody really knew what that had to do with the overall name, it was commended.

Probably what was the most interesting on the website was uploaded by Miles after he and his family had checked into their rooms at Vilcabamba. Some archaeologists picked him up to show him the cave that Professor Nova had accidently discovered while searching for El Jichi. Part of why it was so important was the fact that it had evidence of ancient Mesoamerican offerings found in it, not limited to just ancient pottery.

Miss Juliet revealed an unexpected surprise for both her staff and her girls: due to the popularity of Animalia, her school had gotten some new students for next year, and not all of them would be girls, much to everyone's surprise. Because of that, the property was going to be added onto to include some new facilities while keeping the "family mansion" mostly intact.
While this was a surprise to everyone, what was even more surprising was the simple fact that there would be twelve new students next year: six boys and six girls. In a way, it was a good thing that Countess Irena had invited them to her estate in Spain, but Miss Juliet would be in direct contact with the contractors so they wouldn't alter too much.
Speaking of which, the village that was unofficially added to the colony were getting discount upgrades for their houses, as well as discount conversions, especially since it would help alleviate their annoyance at the government. There were also two areas that were set up for the planned casino as well as the sports arena and health spa. While there wouldn't be anything like The Burrows, or the geothermal power, it was a start.

Everyone in Animalia and its colonies were looking forward to summer, though there were some who were having their patience tested due to the number of stupid tourists.
