It was finally time for the event everyone was waiting for: 'When Worlds Collide...', a.k.a. Animalia Summer Events 2022. It was a little surprising to learn that the message of the events was that we shouldn't be afraid or prejudiced against others just because they're different. While everyone else was expecting the usual summer events that Animalia had, including the sporting events (which were technically pick-up games), what wasn't expected was the performance that had been put together, viewable on the website.

In the first episode, King Arthur, Queen Guenevere, Merlin, and several of his knights (including Sir Gawain, Sir Galahad, and Sir Lancelot) boarded a ship for some negotiations with Spain and France, when the mother of all hurricanes struck the ship. In an unusual turn of events, the hurricane transports them all the way to the southwestern Japan in 1616. When they landed at the first sign of civilization, a small fishing village, said village turned out to be nearly emptied and strange, demonic creatures roaming the streets. Eventually, Arthur and Merlin encounter a giant demon horse (known in Japan as a Mezuki). While Arthur and Merlin were able to defeat it, it was still a tough battle due to it being outside their range of experience.
During the battle, Merlin discovers a white stone that looks almost exactly like the Yang part of the Yin-Yang symbol, black dot included. When brandished at the Mezuki, it seemed to weaken it, like kryptonite on Superman. After the Mezuki's defeat, they meat Hanzo and William who decide to aid them, as well as introduce them to the yokai hunter Hide and the lord they serve, Tokugawa Ieyasu, as well as the monk Tenkai, who examined the stone Merlin found and declared it to be a "spirit stone of unusual power and purity". While William didn't show it, he was rather excited to meet Arthur and his knights, due to originally being British.
During the meeting with Lord Ieyasu, the actor portraying him mispronounced Merlin's name as "Mervin" (but during the editing, the Japanese decided to leave it in there because "it suited him") and found his claim as "one of the world's most powerful wizards" so ridiculous that he broke down in hilarious laughter. Merlin then decided to back up his claim by conjuring a "wizard blizzard" right over Ieyasu and only dispelling it once Ieyasu was convinced.
Eventually, Arthur, Guenevere, Merlin, and Arthur's knights were able to settle down in the Guest Quarters of Edo Castle, though they still talked about what had befallen them. Mainly it was all about being strangers in a strange land, but also how a hurricane could move them from Great Britain's coastline to Japan's in so little time. Merlin, however, was more concerned about the spirit stone they had found, since he had never encountered spirit stones before, let alone one that was of "unusual power and purity".

Another thing that was popular was Miles' tour of the cave Professor Nova had found while searching for El Jichi. Part of what made the cave so unique was the fact that, compared to some caves around the world, it was relatively small and straightforward, with nine distinct sublevels. Another thing that was interesting was what was ultimately causing the strange whispering noises Miles heard: a naturally occurring rock formation on Level Five, as it was known that altered the air moving through them, which also explained why the cave hadn't been targeted by grave robbers and the like, because of how creepy the sounds were. With the Mesoamerican artifacts that had been found there, it was clear that the Mayans, at least, believed that this was the Mesoamerican underworld.

There was plenty of fun and learning to do, and plenty of summer to enjoy, but the overflow of tourists in Lyre and its colonies ensured that there would be plenty of funny things to laugh at, especially tourists being overconfident, stupid, or both.
