The Inanimate Virus (as it has been dubbed) is a virus that transforms humans into Inanimate objects. No one knows where the virus came from, how it changes humans into an Inanimate object or how anyone even gets the virus. All is known is once the transformation starts it's unstoppable & irreversible. The subject will start transforming into an Inanimate object & nothing can be done about it. No one is sure if the subject that became an Inanimate object still has a mind or is even alive (the answer is yes on both). But it has been decided by the government (and told to the people) that once the subject fully becomes an Inanimate object their mind is gone & they are no longer alive; they are just an object now.
