After a little less than a minute of hopping, the two frog princes reached a large log with two other frogs sitting on top of it. "Damon, meet Prince Gregory and Prince Richard," said Eric, pointing at the two frogs on the log.
Damon waved at them with his webbed hand and said "Pleased to meet you both, I'm Prince Damon. If you don't mind me asking, how did you two become frogs?"
"My father the King found out that he wasn't actually my father, the Queen had cheated on him with my biological father," said Prince Gregory. "Not wanting a bastard child to ruin his dynasty's reputation he had the witch transform me into a frog and exile me to this swamp. He also had my mother transformed into a dairy cow as punishment for her unfaithfulness."
"My transformation was a result of a famine my Kingdom was facing last winter," said prince Richard. "There wasn't enough food in the castle for me, my siblings, and my parents that winter so I volunteered to be transformed into a frog by the court wizard to lift some of my family's food burden. At first, I continued to live in the castle, but after a while, I realized my new body was made for the wild so I sought out a witch to take me to this swamp."
"It was incredibly kind and noble of you to make that sacrifice," said Prince Damon.
"At the time I saw it as a sacrifice, but after nearly a year of living in this form, I've come to realize I've never been happier," replied Richard.
"I hope I come to feel that way as well," said Damon. "So I take it you three are the only transformed people in this swamp?"
"No they are not," said a female voice from behind Damon.
"Ah yes," said Eric. "I almost forgot to introduce you to Diana, she is..."
