The boy tried to force a smile, he looked at Matthew noticing some changes beginning to show themselves. His face appeared smoother and seemed a bit slimmer, his acne seemed to be fading away, and most of all his lips were now soft and tender making the boy feel... well, he himself didn't know how to feel...
The boy snapped out of the almost trance he was trapped in blinking a few times to make sure his vision wasn't playing tricks on him. He coughed and made his way over to Matthew stepping over the shards of glass.
"Hey, listen how about I make you a drink? maybe we can sit out on the balcony?"
Matthew looked up at the boy and took off his glasses giving them a wipe with his sleeve.
"Sure I guess, I've got some liquor in the cabinet..."
He said in a defeated tone, looking down towards the ground.
"Hey, Uhm... I'm sorry I yelled at you..."
Matthew looked at the boy again.
"No, don't apologize. Your right..."
The boy snapped back
"No, I'm not... I'm never right."
After a small silence, the boy helped his friend up. He noticed Matthew was smaller, he had at least lost 3 inches or so but he didn't care. Quickly before Matthew walked away he swung his arms around him to give his friend a hug. Matthew was shocked at first but... didn't resist, he liked it...
The boy let him go and Matthew made his way to the balcony walking wobbly along the way.
The boy looked around and decided to make the drinks.
