Scientists had been working a long time to try to find a way to restructure a human being - make them taller or smaller, give them six pack abs or a slim feminine figure (or both), and after decades of hard work, they had finally finished the device - named the Trait Trader. This device was able to trade traits between two people like a basketball player being able to trade his height or a daughter giving her dad her age. At least, that’s how it would work once it was done. They knew it was able to be tested on people safely, but so far they weren’t able to specify which traits could get traded. Anyone involved in the trade would have all of their traits swapped randomly, essentially turning everyone involved into brand new people. However, being able to to even this was worth studying and could lead to getting better data to build a future version that could provide the type of trade. There was no harm in the end, as they were able to put in a reverse button, meaning all subjects could easily be returned to normal as long as no other trait swaps occurred.
So now they were looking for test subjects, people willing to leave their lives behind for a month. Those who participated would be awarded $500,000. They hoped for a mass trait swap, to be able to get as much data as possible.
