Jack was nearing 30, and he'd still never had sex. He was just awkward, and not very good with women, and so it had just never happened. He walked into the small dusty office, the cheap paint on the walls peeling a little, one bored looking saleswoman sitting at a desk reading a book. He cleared his throat, and she looked up. She was a middle aged woman, but attractive enough, blonde and in a blue blazer, her name tag reading 'KELLY'. "Oh, hello, sir!" she smiled. "Are you looking to have the vacation of a lifetime?"
James glanced at the floor. "Uh, yeah... I was..." He lowered her voice. "Hoping to book the Perverse Porn Paralleliser Package."
Kelly took a moment to realise what he was talking about, before a glimmer of disdain crossed her features. She forced a fake smile. A sale was a sale. "Of course, sir!" She turned to her computer, keys clattering. "We can offer you a discounted package for that, one week in the reality, you get to pick three traits to select for, we get to pick three, keeps it interesting, keeps it cheaper for you."
He blinked a couple of times. "Traits?"
"Yes, reality types to search for, how you want to be in the world you end up in."
He was stunned, but eventually signed up for a week, being led into the back room by Kelly. The back room was dusty, as if it had been hardly used, but contained 8 big brass eggs with small windows, glowing ominously with an eerie green light. "OK, so, sir, you'll be put into this pod, which will put you into a week-long stasis. You'll be prompted to give the three traits you want in your vacation, we'll tell you the three we picked, and then you'll soon snap into your new body and new life. You won't have full access to their memories, but I'm sure you'll be able to figure out what they do. For your package, sir, you'll find yourself in a female body, who is some manner of sex worker. Your safety is your own responsibility." As she'd been talking, she'd bundled James into one of the eggs, and had now slammed the door shut, leaving him standing stock still in the complex seat inside.
Suddenly he froze, feeling all time stop for a second, before a digitised voice echoed around him from all sides. "What kind of vacation do you want, holidaymaker?"
