"How about a toy store?" Said Emily with a smile on her face, excited for all the possibilities they had now.
"A toy store? But why that one in specific, can't we just go to... something sport related instead? Just look at how hot that couple was after we took a picture of them in the Sport shop, we could look like that too!"
"Oh Ricky, you are so short of vision here. We already saw what that store can turn people into, where is the fun in that? A toy store has the potential to turn us into multiple things, we have no idea what we will end up being! Isn't that great?" Emily added.
Despite the clear excitement in his girlfriend's voice and expression, Rick was having doubts about it. He had already agreed with Emily's idea, but now after hearing they were going to 'blend in' in a toy store, he was pushed back once again. What if he ended up as a kid, or hell, even as a toy itself! However, even with this, he had to admit he understood Emily's view. He had already felt the camera on himself, and even if it definitely felt weird, it also felt exciting, in its own special way.
"... Ok, Emily, you win. Let's go, I want to see what we are going to turn into."
"That's perfect! Let's go Ricky, I am sure you won't regret a thing!" Said Emily with a smile as she excitedly walked to the nearest toy shop, Rick following her closely with a smile. Seeing Emily so happy about this was making Rick feel calm and easy, after all, Emily wouldn't be like that if this was dangerous, right?
Once the couple were in front of the shop, all doubts about the change were gone, and Rick was as excited as his girlfriend.
"So, are you ready to change, Ricky?" Emily asked, making sure to ask in her sweetest tone of voice.
"Of course I am!" Rick replied, excitedly tapping Emily's shoulder.
Unfortunately, by doing that, Emily's finger ever-so-slightly twitched. After that, she accidentally undid the user awareness.
"Ok then Ricki, say cheese!" Emily laughed, ignorant to what she had just done mistakenly. She had just lost awareness of what the camera did as the device went off.
*FLASH*
"Oh my g- be careful with that Emile!" Rebecca gasped, rubbing her eyes aggressively. "You could've blinded me with that thing."
"Sorry Mommy." Emile sighed, hiding the camera behind his back. "I just wanted to take a picture of us."
Rebecca's annoyance swiftly melted away into a barrage of love. Her little Emile's reasoning was too adorable to be mad at. She cooed, the quickly brought him in for a hug.
"Ohhhh, come here baby I'm sorry for snapping." She apologized. "You just startled me."
"Okay Mommy!" Emile beamed. "Can I pick out a toy now?" He asked.
"Sure baby." She smiled back before the little boy ran off ahead.
Rebecca followed slower, but still closely behind. She watched as her son eagerly darted from shelf to shelf, looking for the best looking toy to bring home. As they passed a mirror, she was briefly distracted by her reflection. She was in her mid-40s now, so her appearance mattered to her more than ever. She had red, flowing hair that was done ever so curly after much work with a curling iron. She had nice C-cup breasts, but she always worried that it wouldn't be long before they started to sag. Her blue skirt paired with her floral sweater probably weren't fashionable with the youth but she liked it.
The woman's daydreaming was interrupted as her red headed son yelled something towards her.
"What is it baby?" She asked.
"Can I have this one!" He asked, holding up a strange game of some sort.
"Alright." She smirked with a sigh. "I'll never get young boys in this day and age." She thought, giggling slightly at her own joke, unaware of how ironic this comment would have been mere minutes ago.
After a few more minutes, the game was paid for and put away within Rebecca's large purse. Emile happily walked along, holding her hand as he daydreamed about playing the game he had gotten. However, he felt like he was forgetting something. After a moments thought, his mind went towards the camera.
"Oh, Mom! Do you have the camera?" Emile asked.
"Yes sweetie." She replied, reaching into her purse. "Do you want it." She asked as she held the polaroid aloft.
"Uh, Idunno... I was just checking I guess." Emile responded, feeling odd for having asked.
Rebecca too felt odd. Something about the camera was tickling something deep in her brain. She fixed her hair, then glared harder at the inscriptions. They had some pretty odd markings on them. Awareness? Random? Blending in? Fusion? Role swap? What did any of this have to do with a camera.
Her odd feelings grew into intrigue, wondering what was up with this camera. Needless to say, she began to wonder where they had even gotten it. That garage sale right? Why did she take Emile to a garage sale before the mall anyway? Rebecca hated getting dirty, so why would she want to dive through some old person's junk?
"Hmm." She muttered aloud. "Maybe I should..."
"What was that Mommy?" Emile asked, noticing her furrowed brow.
"Oh, um, well..." She began to say.
