It had been heavily publicised, but no one believed the adverts, or thought it was some science fiction show. Reality Bites purported to offer massive multimillion prizes, but the contestants would have to go through the most grueling game of all. The show claimed it used the most amazing proprietary hypertech to rearrange reality in a co-ordinated way. Every show would follow a contestant through a week of this, with a daily reality alteration challenge.
But it was all too true, and the format was thus:
- Daily, contestants would be given a transformation by the show. Contestants would then get to suggest a twist of the transformation, but crucially, no change can overrule another. So by day five, the contestant would have been changed five times, and given five opportunities to put their own spin on it.
- Every afternoon or evening; a challenge is posed to the contestant, with a range of prizes, both to help win the game and to add to the prize pot.
- Somehow, no matter what kind of reality the contestant is in, the interviewers and cameras will not be commented on and be allowed to work.
