You look over at her and smile, and then notice that your mouth and face feel strange.
"Hey," hisses Katrina as she points at your glass,"what are your teeth doing in that glass?"
"Oh my gosh, deyz nod teesh deys denshers?" you reply, a bit astounded at the turn of events.
"Maybe you had better get that watch out and let's both take a look at it," Katrina says with a grin, as you proceed to shove your teeth back in your mouth."And, it might not hurt to pick up some denture adhesive on the way home while we are at it."
Getting out the watch, you open it up and the two of you examine it closely.
"What is that?" Katrina asks, as she pulls out a note that was tucked behind the lid.
"Hmmm, not really sure."
"Let's see," she mutters, as she perches the glasses on the end of her nose,"Dear Grandson, hope you enjoy this new gift of yours. By now you've probably already tried it on yourself and someone close to you, and didn't bother to read this note first."
"No kidding gramps," you chuckle to yourself, and notice that Katrina is giggling as well.
"Don't worry, I did the same thing myself the first time. Whatever you tried with the watch, you are probably starting to notice the effects sort of happening all of a sudden and inadvertently. This is perfectly normal the first time or two, until the time piece gets adjusted to you and you to it. This will pass, and you will be able to have more control over the effects and how they occur.
I won't tell you how to use the thing, you'll have to figure that out for yourself.
Finally, the effects seem to last for varied lengths of time. Sometimes it goes for no more than an hour, other times it happens for up to 5 or 6 days.
You will always return to normal, or some semblance thereof.
By the way, if you wonder how you will explain this to your family/families, you will find that things alter in such a way as to make explanations unnecessary.
