I turned and started running the other directed. Or at least I tried. I slammed directly into a tree, one that didn’t seem to exist before. Stunned, I tried to get myself up, only to notice that it’s roots were grabbing my feet, keeping me stuck there.
The naked fairy flew up to me. The roots around my feet tightened, and the fairy seemed slightly irritated.
“You should’ve just stayed asleep, I still need you here. Now let me finish my bath,” the fairy said.
As she flew back to the river I asked, “what are you going to do to me?”
“Well, I’ll need you when I’m done,” she said as she slowly descended into the water. “Just let me finish up first…”
“Need me? For what?” I asked.
