You just held Katie close as the submarine carried the two of you down…down…down toward the deepest point on planet Earth before it was going to travel through a tunnel toward this hidden ocean located inside the very heart of the Earth. The mad man who planned all this, who transformed you and if he is to believe a million people into mermaids and merman was to be believed.
You did believe him, mostly because your body had been changed, you now had a stark tail inside of legs, gills on your neck and your physical build has been changed. Beside you not wanting to believe it even if she had always dreamed about being a mermaid was Katie, her short brown hair replaced by a long silver braid, her legs now replaced by a silvery and blue mermaid tail.
“THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT!” yelled a male voice from the other side of the chamber, there had to be 40 some people in this chamber so you didn’t get a good view of who had said it. Seconds later there was a pounding of what sounded like fists on metal.
“Stop that, you damn fool. The pressure outside would kill us.” stated a male voice
“And how do you know?” inquired the same male voice
“10 years on a submarine in the US Navy, break through the hull and we all die a painful death.” countered the male as with a hump sound the pounding stopped.
That is when you saw what you assumed was the man who had been pounding on the wall. He didn’t look like a merman at first.
His hair was an unruly blonde set of curls which came down to his shoulders and was stylized like a generic surfer, his face belonged on a wanted poster as well or at least something related to surfing if it included the mafia. Blue eyes, with bushy threatening eyebrows, a protruding nose and a bushy blonde beard on his entire face. His skin was a tan color but not too bad and it really popped against the rest of his body which was covered in dense blonde hair. He wore a black necklace just below his gills with a ring in it. His body was well defined with a massive set of muscles which was almost exploding out of the strange gold bracelets he wore around his biceps. His arms were covered with scars which went up to just past his elbows, but everything looked normal, the scars wrapping only his arms on each side.
At fist you thought he was wearing a black type of undergarment and in some ways, he was, only when he moved forward did you see that from the knees down he had 8 octopus like tentacles which pushed him through the water. They were covered with purplish black scales with a rich purple on the suction cups. His only clothing aside from the bracelets was a rugged black headband which barely wrapped around his forehead and his necklace.
Even while swimming he seamed to sway back and forth, like he was strutting, then his blue eyes locked on you and Katie.
“Chris? Katie?” said the merman in a surprised voice.
“You know us?” inquired Katie
“It’s me…Frank.” Answered the merman as your jaw hit the floor. Frank while not someone you would call a good friend was the boyfriend of Katie’s best friend. You hung out in the same friend group, you had been to parties together and you knew damn well that he wasn’t a muscular attractive surfer man in looking more like a gangster that the nerdish look he previously donned.
“Frank?” you inquire
“Yes.” Confirmed Frank before turning and yelling. “Anna…Chris and Katie are over here.”
“What?” came a female voice as mermaid came swimming over.
The mermaid, which came forward had long bright red hair and beautiful face which had a couple of cute freckles on it. Her deep green eyes glowed, as much longer pointed ears came out of the side of her head then what grew out of your girlfriend’s head, it made her look even more like an elf. Her shoulders where bare, as what looked to be a bronze color seaweed bikini held her smaller breasts. Her arms where thin and feminine and her core was strong yet feminine as well. She almost gave off the vibe of a delicate flower.
Then you saw her tail and what was growing out of her back. Her tail was covered in small scales a mixture of red, bronze, and white strips. Coming out of her tail in multiple points where thin almost translucent fins which where a mixture of the same colors. They where thickest around her hips with two larger spike like fins coming out of either side and a series of longer ones running down her spin from the shoulder blade area to her hips. More of this fins or spikes coming out around where her knees and ankles would have been. At the end of her tail was a large thick fin with the thinner membranes around.
It hit you, you are a shark merman, Frank is an octopus merman and Anna, your girlfriend’s best friend is a lionfish mermaid.
“Anna…I am so happy to see you.” Said Anna as your girlfriend left you and embraced her best friend. “Well, I am not happy to see you since that means you are in the same spot we are…”
“I understand.” Said Katie “You look good.”
“Thanks, I am really proud of how I designed this mermaid even if I never thought I would be it.” Said Anna with a smile before some sadness crossed her face as she looked at her boyfriend turned octopus merman. “Sorry Frank I didn’t know that you would…”
“It’s ok.” Said Frank putting on a strong front, but one could see the sadness in his blue eyes. Then he turned and looked at you. “We figured they were selling a figure and since I am not into mermen why not have Anna have two custom statues of her very own. So, she designed me.”
“We did almost the same, I designed Chris and he designed mine.” explained Katie
“Well, you both did a good job.” Said Frank as Anna nodded in agreement.
“So, what do we do now?” inquired Anna
