“Hmm, I kinda wanna see how this room works.” Claire said as she hoisted herself up gingerly from the bed and walked to the floor-length mirror on the opposite wall.
“Yeah me too.” Kevin said. “The question is, should we go forward or backward?”
“Do you have a preference?” Claire asked as he got up and hugged her from behind.
“I’m up for anything honestly, so its your call." Kevin replied before tenderly kissing her neck.
"You're so sweet." Claire smiled and cupped his face. She loved that they now had an opportunity to be intimate with each other. From the start of the pregnancy the couple had found it hard to find time for themselves what with work and preparing for the baby's arrival. Now at last they could relax and relieve themselves of any and all responsibilities for a little while anyways.
Hmm, what to do.." Claire pondered as she took in the myriad choices at their disposal.
Her first thought was for them to return to their youth. They could return to their heady college days full of parting, drinking and debauchery. 'What a wild time that was.' she thought to herself. Perhaps they could go back to high school where they first met and rekindle their first feelings for each other, maybe even relive their old 'study sessions' where one would come over to the other's house and get better acquainted with each other after making sure their parents were asleep. Or maybe they could go back to a time before they met and play together as kids; Claire always thought Kevin looked cute as a boy in his old pictures. She smiled at Kevin in the mirror, thinking of him as a little boy again running around in a little T-shirt and jeans, or maybe even diapers.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a little movement from her womb. Her gaze drifted down to her belly as she thought about the future. As much as she valued this time alone with her husband, she still couldn't help but think of her baby and what she and Kevin would be like as parents. A part of her still doubted if she would be a good mom and wondered if a peek into the future might serve her well. Maybe they could even meet their child right here and now. The choices were limitless.
Finally after a few minutes, the mom-to-be settled on a plan...
