The voice, sounding very pleased, exclaimed, "Ah! Now we can have a proper look at ye!"
Scott, in his state of nakedness, had no idea how to respond to that. "Um... hi?"
"Ye're not exactly what I expected, Scott." The voice sounded quite amused. "I thought ye' might be one o' those hidden magical folk like I've heard tell o'—as one o' the fae folk, ye' know, we run into them from time to time. But ye're just a regular old mortal."
"That's right," Scott replied, not really sure how else to respond.
"Well, I'll be damned! A human. This is quite a find, indeed." The voice giggled and spun through the air for a moment.
"What?" Scott asked, confused. "Look, you said we'd have this conversation face to face, where are you?"
"Ah, pardon my manners..." replied the voice. Moments later, there was a small flash of light, "I guess I didnae impart enough magic into ye' to see me well enough." As the flash cleared, Scott could finally see his captor. A fairy, wearing nothing but a dress made of blue lily petals now floated before him. They had effervescent orange wings to match their fiery orange hair. "You can call me, Bloomcaller. Not my real name, 'course, but you can call me that... now, what t' do with ye'?"
Scott was still lost for words. "What do you mean?"
Bloomcaller laughed. "Well, ye' really don't know the trouble yer' in, do ye'? No wonder ye' were so easy to catch." They flew into the air and dazzled around the now ginormous circle of mushrooms before floating back over to the human. "Ye' stepped into a fairy circle, Scott. It's a portal to our realm. And, ye've already given up yer name. I can do anything I want with you, so just sit quiet for a second while I think."
She made a small motion with her hand to signal that he close his mouth and pointed downward, and Scott found himself both unable to speak and forced to sit.
