You had been friends with Drake since you were little. You both were 14 years old now. You only knew Drake in his Anthro Male Red Dragon Animal Costume form. You had never seen him out of it. Drake had invited you to his house (a first). You headed with him up to his bedroom. You both sat on his bed & he asked you "We're best friends right?" "Of course buddy." You answered with a smile. He looked at his 3 toed white clawed feet & asked "You ever wonder why you never seen me as anything but an Anthro Male Red Dragon?" You admitted "Yeah." He looked at you & told you "I'm naked man." You laughed because alot of Animal Costume users felt they were naked in their Animal Costumes; and kinda are because it makes them an animal while wearing it. He signed & told you "I'm truly all natural man. I'm nude. Have always been. This is all me." You were about to laugh that off too when it occurred to you what he was saying. "You can't mean..." You began to ask shocked. He nodded "I was born or actually hatched as I am now. I am a natural born Anthro Male Red Dragon." You were floored by that. "How's that possible?" You questioned. "Most people don't know Animal Costume users can get pregnant & have offspring of the animal they in the costume of. I'm the result of that." He explained. "I didn't know that." You said further surprised. "Now how I came about is my parents got male & female anthro dragon Animal Costumes for a night of beastly love making. My parents went so far as to do reverse gender with the dragon costumes; my dad wore the dragoness costume aka female dragon costume while my mom wore the drake aka male dragon costume." You thought about that & asked shocked "Your dad was the dragoness that had you as an egg?" Drake nodded saying "Imagine his shock when he discovered he couldn't get out of the costume being locked as a dragoness because he got pregnant." Curious you asked "So what did he do?" Drake answered "They called the company Transanimal that makes the Animal Costumes & told them about it. They were told that pregnancy locks the users in the form of whatever the costume makes them. The lock will only disable after they give birth or in my dad's case after she lays her egg. And she would be pregnant with egg for 7 months." "My god." You said shocked. "My mom was very supportive of my dad's situation. She stayed in her drake costume the whole 7 months with dad being a dragon with him." Drake explained. "That's a sweet thing to do." You said feeling that touching. "And they are raising you as their kid. Well you are actually." You stated. "So do you still want to be my friend knowing I'm natural anthro not a human in an Animal Costume?" He asked you. You laughed & answered "You think I'd stop being your friend over that? Knowing the truth just makes you cooler my lizard." Drake gave a toothly smile & said "You're the best human I've ever known." You did state "But I do think we don't tell anyone the truth about you. They might freak out." He nodded "Agreed. Just let everyone keep believing I'm in an Anthro Male Red Dragon Animal Costume; not a natural born one." Just then a thought occurred to you. You asked Drake "Can you tell by scent if someone is an Animal Costume user or a natural born animal like you?" Drake shook his head "No. When my dad puts on his dragoness costume she smells like any other animal. I don't think any animal can tell the difference between someone in an Animal Costume & a natural born animal. Animal Costume users become animals." "So he still wears that anthro dragoness costume even after what happened?" You asked surprised. Drake nodded "He still loves being a dragoness." Then something else occurred to you "I've never seen your mom." You stated. Drake told "You might have. She abandoned humanity to be an animal permanently." "She never comes out of her animal costume?" You asked surprised by that. "Hasn't since I was 5 years old." Very curious you asked "What animal is she?" Drake put a hand on his chest & answered "I swore on my life to her I'd never tell anyone. She wants to be thought of & treated like any natural born animal." You found that bizarre but she is an adult & can make her own choices; so you didn't ask more. You spied the clock & told Drake you had to get home; it was getting late. You left soon after that.
After you left Drake headed down to the living room & pulled the family pet male iguana out of his tank. Drake sat in a chair specifically modified for his tail with the iguana on his lap. The iguana looked at the dragon as he spoke "I told him the truth about me & he's cool with it. And I kept your secret from him. I as promised I will never reveal to anyone the truth about you. Only me & dad will ever know." The iguana was pleased by that.
