...getting ready for tomorrow?"
Jamie looked at him "Say what?"
The next day was to be the 100th day at school. All the students, and most of the younger faculty would be dress to look like old people. At the end of the day, there would be a contest with prizes awarded for those with the most realistic costumes.
"I mean, if this does what it says, we can easily win tomorrow's contest. We wouldn't even have to borrow any props or put any effort into our outfits, this will even change our clothes!"
"Yeah sure." Jackie didn't really believe it was going to work but decided to humor her friends.
"Yeah," said Jamie,
David sat down and typed what he wanted into the computer. He got up from the chair. "Okay, here goes," he said, right before he gave the final click on the mouse.
The computer camera scanned over the three children-and they changed.
They didn't grow in size or gain any weight-they didn't want to be THAT realistic. However, the three's youthful skin faded and wrinkled, giving them laugh lines and jowels, and bags underneath their eyes. Liver spots appeared in various places over their bodies although their faces retained the shape of ten year olds.
Their hair thinned, became gray, and finally Jaime and David's became snow white. Jackie's hair remained dark gray, yet undid the braids it was in and reformed into an old lady bun. Jamie sprouted a thick push-broom mustache, And David grew a full, neatly trimmed beard.
Then the hair on top of David's head fell out.
Their clothes changes as well. Jackie's stop top and blue jeans morphed into a generic blue-grey dress and white shawl, and her sneakers into high button shoes. Jamie's Star Trek t-shirt and jeans became a tweed blazer and pants with matching bow tie;a tweed flat cap appeared on his head. And David's clothes turned into an old fashioned white shirt and black pants that came up to his waste. A pair of old-style bifocals perched on his nose.
At first glance they would have been taken as elderly little people. On closer inspection they would seem like children in VERY realistic old-age make up.
Jackie cackled as she walked to David and touched his smooth bare scalp. "You're bald!"
Even her voice sounded old.
"Yeah, he he," David rubbed his head himself. "Both my grampas we're bald and my Dad is balding. Figure it'll happen to me."
Jamie pulled at his mustache. "It feels so real," he mused. "We're gonna win tomorrow for sure."
Just then....
