Despite the maze like appearance of Miro's castle, a location spell cast by both Gloria and Katie now guided the three. Sprinting up a set of stairs, Caleb now kicked open a set of doors as the trio now beheld the lord of the vampires.
Miro now turned, a sinister grin across his face as he held Lynne aloft by her hair. "Welcome," he smirked. "I take it you've come for this brat?"
Caleb said nothing, Katie and Gloria filing in behind him. Both sisters casting their little sister a frightened look as the auburn haired toddler cried. "Let her go," Katie yelled. Miro simply chuckled, tossing the young girl across the room before glaring at the three intruders. The vampire now chuckled softly, studying his opponents carefully as he awaited their attack.
Caleb now unholstered his gun, unloading his clip of silver bullets at the vampire. Shots echoing through the chamber as Miro stood before the teenage hunter the same grin across his face. As the last bullet now exited Calebs handgun, the hunter loaded another clip, his eyes narrowing at the lord of the vampires. Miro simply chuckled, opening his hand to reveal the 12 slugs he had caught.
"Not quite fast enough Moreland," Miro smiled. As he now stopped forward, an odd look now crossed his face as his movements slowed.
"Katie go now," Gloria exclaimed, the teen now useing her magic to freeze Miro. "I can't hold him for long."
Katie nodded, letting out a primal yell as she now transformed. Quickly the womans body now became adorned in holy armor, her muscles rippling as six wings now sprung from her back. Holding out her hand, she now summoned forth Excalibur, the holy blade emitting a soft glow as Katie now dashed forward.
Miro's eyes went wide, the seraph skewing the vampiric lord through the chest before unleashing a blast of holy light point blank into the vampires chest. Miro grunted, thrown backwards by the blast before falling to his knees. Katie, Caleb, and Gloria now stood solemnly, staring at the smoldering vampire.
A low chuckle now emanated from Miro, despite the attack thw vampire was still very much in the fight. "Excalibur," he stated in surprise. "Humans and their holy weapons." Miro groaned, slowly rising to his feet as he now studied Katie, Gloria, and Caleb.
"Impressive wizard," he snarled. "But I am no ordinary vampire to be brought down by your...human magics. I, am Miro Tepes. Lord of the vampires. And I! Have had! ENOUGH!!!"
Miro now screamed, a massive ball of fire now forming in front of the vampire. With a grunt he now sent the fireball rocketing towards the three, looking to finish them once and for all. Gloria now stepped forward, concentrating her magic as she tried to stop the fireball. Caleb now stood behind his girlfriend, bracing her as they duo attempted to stop Miro's attack.
Now Katie stood in front of her sister and her boyfriend, useing Excalibur to push the fireball back. Slowly the fireball paused in its momentum, inching its way back towards Miro. The vampire lord undeterred, placing his hands upon the inferno as he pushed back. For a moment the two sides found themselves in a stalemate, a battle of wills ensuring between all combatants. With a final push, Katie now gave it her all, the fireball exploding and knocking Miro backwards.
The opening salvos had now been fired with no clear winner. Katie, Gloria, and Caleb hoping that though their combined strength they would be able to triumph.
