Scrambling out of Miro's chamber, Katie, Gloria, and Caleb now desperately began making their way towards the exit with Lynne in tow. Dodging debris they realized that unless they wanted to become a permanent fixture, they would need to leave quickly. Turning a corner the trio now gasped at what they saw.
"Akira?"
The kitsune now turned, cradling his unconscious and injured girlfriend in his arms as he held a crying Yuriko snuggly in one of his tails. Gloria now studied him, as well as his companions. While Akira appeared mostly unharmed, it didn't mean the others were. Mia was bleeding badly, her injured familiar resting in her arms as Zack now limped behind her, the werewolf appearing lame from his injuries.
"Katie, Gloria," he stated. "We have to hurry. This place is falling apart." The trio now nodded, Caleb scooping up the injured witchling as Zack shrank down into human proportions so that Gloria could five him a piggy back ride. Running as fast as they could they could now see the others anxiously waiting for them. "About time," Jackie called. "We thought we lost you."
"Where's Duke," Caleb called.
"And Sasha, Naomi, and Diane," Gloria added. Almost on que the quartet now sprinted into the hallway, glancing up at their friends. "The whole castle is set to explode," Duke exclaimed. "We have to go NOW!" As the group now made their way towards the exit, they were thrown back by a massive explosion.
"You didn't think it would be that easy did you?"
Caleb and Gloria groaned, turning their gaze towards the voice. Somehow Miro was still alive. The vampire lord beaten but still very much alive, black mist swirling around his form as he leered at them all.
"Open fire!"
Miro grunted as Ann, Stephanie, and Megan now began to unleash their suits firepower on the barely corporeal form of the vampire lord. Roaring in anger, Miro now struck, his attack sending the mechanized suits sailing as if they were toys.
The others now turned, looking to fight the vampire for their very survival. Magic, bullets, and physical attacks now raining down upon the vampire as he counterattacked viciously. Gloria now screamed in pain as Miros last attack sent her sailing. Tumbling in a heap, she now winced as she held her hand over a nasty looking gash across her shoulder.
"Gloria," Caleb bellowed, sprinting to her side. Quickly looking over his girlfriend he noticed the scratch marks along her arm and shoulder, marks that would certainly scar. "Spark can you fix her up?"
The fairy now flew from Calebs pocket. Placing her hands on the wound the fairy now began to concentrate as a soft green light glowed around the wound. "I can patch her up but we gotta go," she exclaimed. "This place is gonna come crashing down any minute."
Caleb nodded, looking towards Miro and the others. Katie, Akira, Duke, and Sasha were holding their own but they were running out of time. They needed to leave now and destroy Miro in the process. "Theres only one way to take him down," he said. Reaching into jacket, Caleb now produced a wooden stake that he clutched tightly. "Its gonna take all of us," he said softly. "Gloria, can you still fight?" Gloria nodded, wincing as she stood.
Miro roared, knocking Akira, Sasha, and Duke away as he slammed Katie into a wall. "That holy armor can not protect you forever human," he growled. Katie grunted, unleashing a powerful blast of magic before slamming the vampire into a wall.
As Miro now tried to stand, he found himself under attack from an angry kitsune. Sword strikes and physical attacks raining down upon the vampire. Disoriented, Miro lunged at the kitsune, grabbing jim by his tail and hurling him through a crumbling wall. Miro now unleashed a primal scream, if he were to die he would take the wizards with him.
What Miro hadn't counted on was Duke. Sasha now used her magic, propelling the damphir towards Miro like a bullet. Duke roared, delivering a thunderous right hook that knocked the vampire senseless. "Bastard," he roared, delivering yet a another punch to Miro's jaw. "You beat me! Tortured me! Tried to turn me into a monster!" Duke screamed, slamming his father into the ground as he delivered a series of strikes to his face.
"Am I worthy now Father!?"
Miro now reached up, grasping Duke by the throat before tossing jim through a wall. Incensed he now looked to finish his son off once and for all.
Miro paused, an odd look crossing his face. His movements had slowed once more. Glaring at Gloria he could see the teenage wizard had cast a spell, trying to freeze him in place. Growling he now looked to attack, only to have Katie sever his arms at the elbow.
"Katie," Caleb called as he tossed her the stake. "The heart! Go for the heart!"
Miro howled in pain, his wounds beginning to heal as he now tried to attack. Katie now took the opening, the seraph catching the stake before driving it through Miros heart.
Miro gasped, blood now trickling down the vampires lips as he grasped the stake. Already the others could see his body beginning to deteriorate, his body graying and falling to the floor in clumps. Katie now yelled, with one mighty swing of her sword she now decapitated Miro, watching as his head rolled across the floor.
"Move!"
The others now turned towards the voice, noticing Akira to follow them. Scrambling to their feet Katie, Gloria and the others now fled Dracula's castle, getting far enough away to watch as it crumbled to the ground.
