Aziza had spent the next two weeks gently helping Kylie with her avoidance issues and her depression, among other things.
Every day, around a bustling campfire, Aziza revealed stuff to her about her old identity as Kyle and what she had done.
She also tried to help Kylie control her powers. Every night, she asked Kylie to will the campfire to extinguish itself. After a week, Kylie had finally done it, turning the fire into a big puddle of water. Aziza was so proud of her.
On the eighth night, a despondent Kylie had created a knife out of thin air and tried to slit her wrists when she thought was Aziza was sleeping. Thankfully, Aziza was a light sleeper, and had turned the knife into a feather before Kylie could hurt herself.
It wasn't easy for either of them, but Kylie was starting to form a tentative acknowledgement that the evil, angry person that Kyle had been, and woman at the Halloween party he had become, was herself.
She was still nowhere close to dealing with that in a healthy way though. She was nowhere close to being able to move on with her life either.
Aziza had finally admitted to herself that she wasn't cut out to be a therapist. She could love and support Kylie, but she couldn't fix her.
She needed outside help.

Elizabeth and Maria had continued to see each other on and off during the next two weeks.
Each one had thought they maybe they could help change the other one. Maria had a habit of softly proselytizing her religion to Elizabeth in the middle of casual conversation, while Elizabeth tried to get Maria to question her beliefs more.
It wasn't really working either way, but regardless of differences in personal opinion, they liked each other.
Maria was still swooning from the moment on the Fourth of July when Elizabeth kissed her at the park.

Savannah and Katerina had gone through a number of assassins in their search for the person who tried to kill Katerina.
It had been an exciting, action packed two weeks.
Savannah found that she still enjoyed fighting the old fashioned way despite having magic powers. The sound of contract killers two or three times her size screaming as their bones shattered from a well placed kick gave a deep, dark part of her an immense amount of pleasure.
"OK, that's enough, Jane Wick" laughed Katerina as Savannah hung one of them from her ankle over the edge of the tallest building in Germany. "You're not going to get any more information out of her."
"You're right" Savannah said, dropping the killer on the roof. The killer moaned in pain. Her ribcage was shattered.
"You know something, pretty American girl?" Katerina asked, gently touching Savannah's chin.
"I'm used to being in danger. Been dodging assassins ever since I was ten. Hotel wasn't first time I've been scared to die, and this won't be last time. Let former idiot in charge keep trying, maybe he'll get lucky one day. These two weeks with you, playing action revenge hero, was just to see how much you really loved me."
"Oh" Savannah said with a hint of flirtation. "Did I pass the test?"
"With flying colors" Katerina said as began openly fucking Savannah next to the crippled assassin.

Dani and Tiffany had had a great time at the Soltice Festival, and were spending their summer thinking of what to do.
