“Quick, grab the camera! My mom is going to be, like, sooooooo mad if she finds out we let my little brother play with that, like, super expensive camera thing they got at that totes weird store in the mall.” Lucy said hurriedly. Jenny reached down into the crib. “Heyyy Robbie” she said. “Shh, it’s okay, I’ll just need that camera….” She said as carefully pulled it out of the baby’s hands.
“Got it!” She said triumphantly, turning back to her friends. “Now we can start getting ready for Dylan’s party!” Lizzie looked skeptical. “Lucy, isn’t your mom expecting us to stay in all night and watch Rob?” She asked. Lucy giggled.

“Have fun ladies!” Claire called as they left, the unfamiliar feeling of heels making Lizzie wobble a bit uncomfortably before she regained her balance. She’d wanted to wanted her regular shoes, but Lucy and Jenny had insisted on heels. She sighed to herself as she listened to them gossip about the boys from the JV football team and who’d they thought was best looking. She loved her friends, but Lucy was a ditz and Jenny was almost as boy-crazy as Lucy was. It was exhausting trying to keep up with them sometimes.
As they finally arrived outside Dylan’s house, Jenny paused, startled. “Oh! I almost forgot.” She exclaimed, reaching into her purse. “I could have sworn I left this thing on the table. I was wondering why my purse felt so much heavier” she added as she pulled out the retro camera.
They decided….
