The stairs down led into a spacious basement. Though pitch black, Ryan was able to illuminate it with the light from his cell phone. And, to his pleased surprise, he soon located a circuit breaker which, when flipped, allowed him to turn on the lights. He saw a number of barrels stacked along one wall, and over them a rack full of bottles; and another flight of steps leading up to small door through which groceries used to be delivered to the staff. Another door led into a further room in the underground level.
Before he could investigate the barrels, bottles or the other room, however, a loud roar resounded down the stairs from above.
"The fuck?" he muttered, looking back up the stairs, the doorway above now dark by comparison. "That wasn't thunder." He wasn't sure what it was -- it almost sounded like lions he'd heard in movies, but there couldn't be any lions here. Unless one had escaped from the zoo? It was crazy, but whatever it was sounded powerful, and dangerous. And he realised that his little brother was all alone up there.
"Shit!"
He turned and raced back up the stairs. Dashing through the foyer, he burst into the great hall, where he saw a tall inhuman shape pinning someone against the wall. Another flash of lightning revealed that that someone was Johnathan.
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

Erick could feel it, his power spreading into Johnathan and changing the hapless young man as he returned his King's embrace. Erick began to thrust his hips, precum soaking into Johnny's shirt as it bunched and strained with the drag of his penile spines. Blood suffused the young man's cheeks as he gave in to the dominant male, though the flush was starting to disappear beneath soft yellow-brown fur. He could smell Johnny's scent changing --
The moment was interrupted by an enraged yell. Johnny jerked back, eyes opening as the spell broke. A growl rumbled from his as Erick let the boy go and turned to face the intruder.
It was Ryan, charging at him like the quarterback he was.
