Dan was still barking and staring at his claws when he felt his ears flop over. He tried to beg Kat to stop this, but all he could do was whine like an agitated canine.
"Oh, don't be such a baby. You're going to be such a beautiful Bernese! And you can't exactly deny that you were basically born to be the ideal household pet for me."
Dan found himself growling at this remark. The white fur that was growing on his deforming hands became more noticeable, and he even saw brown fur sprouting on his arms. What was it Kat told him? That he was turning into a Bernese? He had to admit it was a good-looking breed, but he felt he was supposed to look good in fad fashions, not a coat of dog fur!
Curious, he lifted up his tee shirt and did a double-take at the white fur growing on his chest and the black fur on his sides and further down on belly.
"Aw, is Danny boy already waiting for some belly rubs?" Kat mocked in a high-pitched voice. Dan whimpered and let his shirt fall back down to cover him again.
>Maybe if I agree to serve her, she'll change me back!< he thought hopefully, dropping to his knees and bowing to her like some sort of queen or empress. Without words, he had no other way to express that he would do anything she wanted from now on.
"Wow, you've basically got the hang of begging already! That'll get you some nice table scraps, but don't get your hopes up that I'm changing you back," laughed Kat. Dan's ears drooped, an feeling that was even more unwelcome than the sensation of his fur thickening. Totally helpless against a power that he never expected his older sister to have, he could do nothing but look up at her pleadingly from the floor.
"Aw, you're so adorable like this!" Kat said with a grin, bringing her hand down to touch his head, which was already covered under black and white dog fur and adorned with brown eyebrows. The experience of being gently scratched behind his floppy ears for the first time sent warm and pleasant feelings throughout Dan's changing body and came very close to putting him at ease. He loved the affectionate attention that his sibling rival was final showing him at the end of their childhoods, but he didn't want it this way! He brought up a clawed hand with padded fingers and swatted her arm away from him.
"You still think this really a punishment, don't you? Well, I guess it kinda-sorta is, you annoying little dweeb of a brother!"
His ears perked and then cowered against his skull because Kat cackled liked the witch she now was.
"But I don't think you'll be nearly so upset about this after a few days," she continued. "In fact, if you stopped to actually think about what is going on for once in your life, even your bratty spoiled self would want to find a way to thank me, because ..."
