You introduce yourself to the woman while Charlie and Rebecca run and frolic in the dog park.
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Miranda.” The woman smiled. She sits down on the grass and motions for you to join her. You take a seat next to her as your attention is drawn back to the playing canines. They seem so happy and free, and part of you envies the freedom that dogs enjoy. Suddenly, you notice a delightful scent in the air. You inhale deeply as you realize that what you smell is Miranda. The scent is at once sweet and musky, and you are finding that you are becoming turned on.
“I love dogs. They’re so affectionate and fun-loving,” Miranda stated, matter-of-factly. You distractedly nod in agreement, your attention captivated by the beautiful woman sitting next to you. As you trace the contours of her face and gaze into her bright blue eyes, you realize that she is staring right back at you. You become lost in each other’s eyes, and before you know it, the sun is beginning to set.
“Wow!” you exclaim, looking at your watch, “We better get back to the Kennel before the park closes.”
You and Miranda call Charlie and Rebecca and reattach their leashes. As you head back to the Kennel, you and Miranda discuss the weather, the beauty of the sunset, and all sorts of superfluous things. She even seems to enjoy your sense of humor, at least she laughs at your jokes. You get back to the Kennel just as it is getting dark. Having already proven that you are a gentleman, you hold the door for Miranda and nod slightly. She smiles coyly and returns the gesture.
“Well. That was a long walk,” the Kennel lady remarked, appearing from the feeding area. Your heart jumps as the Kennel lady walks over to you. You look over to Miranda and notice that she is likewise entranced buy the zoo employee. “Your back just in time for dinner.” You and Miranda kneel down and unleash Charlie and Rebecca. The Burnese and the Dalmatian eagerly run back to their kennels, ready to feast after their work out at the dog park.
“So, my friend,” the kennel lady says to you with a smile as she caresses you cheek. “Did you have fun with Charlie? He’s such a good dog.” She turns to Miranda and playfully pats her head. “And Rebecca seemed to take a real shine to you.” The Kennel lady’s smile faded ever so slightly and her brow furrowed perceptibly. “Well, I know I promised to take you both for a walk, but the Kennel is getting ready to close. We’ll have to do it another time, unless…”
