Sherry at first didn't notice anything wrong, the Chronivac just displayed a progress bar slowly reaching 100% when she clicked the preset. She didn't actually read the preset, just clicked on one by chance.
"Huh, perhaps I'll go make a coffee while it's doing what ever it's doing." Sherry thought as she left the Chronivac running.
Getting a coffee and sitting on a couch in the living room, she sat there patiently waiting for the progress bar to complete. As the bar filled up however, changes already took effect.
At first, less notable changes. Her clothing felt rather loose on her. "I guess all that time at the gym is paying off, " she commented, and turned on the TV. She might not have noticed due to the fact that the Chronivac could have been affecting Sherry's awareness temporarily as the changes were taking place. Sherry did however get alarmed when Bill came into the living room naked, causing Sherry to spit her coffee out.
"Bill! What are you doing? You're naked with the window open." Sherry screamed as Bill just looked at her absent-mindedly. He started to wander around the room aimlessly, as if he didn't quite know what was going on.
"Bill what the fuck? Why are you- wait the Chronivac!" Sherry realized as she remembered the Chronivac.
She ran, as best she could with her new body to the Chronivac. It dawned on her at this point that she was changing too, and cursed at the god forsaken machine that had done this to her. The stairs seemed much larger...or she was much smaller as she began to hop up them toward the top.
She got to the computer and looked at the screen, and got startled by what she saw. The preset she clicked was dubbed 'Chicken to human role swap' and the completion bar was only at 30% meaning that the changes weren't even close to being done. A new message soon popped up on the monitor, making her panic.
'Transporting new user to this location.' The screen read.
Suddenly, a chicken appeared in the room. As she had shrunk, this chicken had already started to grow, not just its body, but it's legs. Before long, it was over four feet tall. She could see the chicken's legs starting to shift back, as it's torso rotated to make the bird get even larger.
Sherry, after getting over her initial shock, tried to go for the mouse but found her hands were gone...rapidly turning into hairy wings. She flapped them, trying to manipulate the mouse, but to no avail. She couldn't click the buttons anymore.
Sherry tried to scream for help, but suddenly, all that came out were a series of clucks.
