‘What do you mean?’ Jack replied, Rick had directed the statement to her. She did not understand
‘When I met Muhammed on my trip I boasted to him about what an accomplished dancer you are. Part of the deal of this dinner was that you would give a performance’
‘And you tell us this now?’ Jacky was also upset.
‘Whoa, Jacky, only Sharon, you don’t need to perform’
‘What sort of dancing am I meant to do?’ Jack was quivering in her heels. She knew nothing about dancing, let alone performing in front of an audience.
‘Perhaps one of the routines you captured my attention with all those years ago’ Of course Jack had no idea what Rick meant.
Jacky could see the awkwardness of the situation. As Sharon she had loved to dance and had quite a talent in that area. ‘We need some preparation time’ said Jacky, suddenly taking charge of the situation ‘Is there a bathroom we could visit?’
‘You are not required’ said Rick ‘Just Sharon. I believe Mohammed has someone he believes could rival Sharon. It will be a bit of a dance off’ Jack glanced at Muhammed who had been listening to the conversation with a smug grin on his face.
‘Well if there is to be a dance off I want part of it as well. I know how to wiggle my bum’ Jacky was defiant
Mohammed had been listening ‘I would be happy to watch you perform as well my dear’ The man clicked his fingers. The waitress reappeared. ‘Please show the ladies to the bathroom Aisha’
They followed the waitress through the door and she showed them to an incredibly luxurious bathroom. ‘Wow!’ Jacky couldn’t help herself seeing the gold fittings. The maid left them saying ‘I make my prepare’
Alone at last Jack complained. ‘What sort of dancing am I meant to do? I can’t dance’
‘Maybe you can. I think the medallion gives you abilities. You have had no difficulty walking in heels have you? I can’t imagine you have had a lot of practice until this week’
Jack realised she was correct. She was wearing 4 inch stiletto heels and it felt like she was in sneakers. However, she still harbored doubts ‘I can’t dance. I could never dance’
‘But the Sharon body can. I was an exotic dancer when I met Rick. It was my dancing ability that first got his attention. Just pick up the rhythm of the music. Your curves will do the rest’
‘I don’t know any moves. I can’t do this’
‘I’ll be there with you. Just try and mimic my moves. I think you might be suprised. You need to give it a go otherwise he will just get angry again’
‘Who is Arab guy anyhow?’
‘He seems okay to me. Don’t you think he’s kind of cute? And he must be loaded’

Jack couldn’t believe she had agreed to give it a go as they returned to the dining room. But then she really had no choice. Jacky was right. If Jack didn’t comply with Rick’s request then Rick would get angry and “Sharon’s” punishment would no doubt be reinstated. Jacky had demonstrated a few basic routines and Jack had copied them. It seemed Jacky was correct. Somehow she had acquired dancing ability and despite wearing these ridiculous heels, had experienced no trouble mimicking Jacky’s moves. The movement seemed so natural, indeed watching her reflection in the huge mirror was quite mesmerising. She had gained confidence but that was now diminishing rapidly once more as she contemplated having to perform to an audience
At the door to the dining room they encountered the dancer who they were to dance off with. She was a short girl with long dark hair wearing a mostly black belly dancers costume. She had a veil over her nose and jaw but Jack immediately recognised the exotic looking eyes. It was either the waitress who had been serving them or perhaps her twin sister.
The girl spoke to them ‘You ready? You want me go first? Men be waiting’
