After browsing for a bit and playing around with the various options, none of them really jump out at him among the themed section. After almost bailing on the site entirely, he notices that there are some artsy styled socks that actually look pretty nice!
He selected the Tri-Block socks that had a fun red, yellow and blue colored sections to them and added them to his cart. It only listed them as 'Female fashion' socks, but that didn't bug him. Socks were socks! A little pop-up took over the screen and informed him that 'Only one premium care can be selected at a time to ensure availability.' He had the option to go to his cart and buy, or click 'OK' and browse other options.
He decided against getting anymore and just checked out with his purchase! David had wandered away too far to take notice of which socks he'd chosen, but that'll make the surprise even better!

It took a few weeks of checking the tracking notification to cross the border into his country and then crawl through the cities until it finally reached his post box. He hadn't forgotten about them, and had sorely missed having supremely comfy socks to wear at the end of his work day, but at last the time had arrived.
After a quick tour through the wash cycle, he was happy enough to slip them on. To be honest, they were slightly underwhelming but not disappointing. They were soft and comfy, naturally. They just didn't knock his socks off. Maybe he'd gotten his hype up too high?
Still, they felt good enough. They should hold him over until he found some really phenomenal socks again. For now though, he got comfy in his chair and worked on his studies for now. In short order, the soft buzzing ache of the days wear and tear faded to leave his feet.
He tapped his feet on the floor while listening to music, he took only a cursory notice to the soft tingling sensation on the back of his neck and between his legs. Even when he'd shuffled in his seat to alleviate the possible sensation of his underwear riding him wrong, it didn't seem to help. Only when his stomach gurgled oddly at him did the sensations elsewhere seem to go away. Still, he felt kind of...off? He really didn't know how to place this feeling. Something was clearly different, but he couldn't place it.
