Once she had finished putting on the sock, she grabbed her cheerleading blouse from the floor. It was inside-out, because Martha hadn't been around to wash it from yesterday. "Ugh!" she screamed. "I can't believe some of the crap I have to go through!" Frustrated, she yanked the sleeves right-side-out and fumbled to find the waistline. As she did so, she noticed that her arms were looking hairier than usual as well. "What the hell?" It seemed the usual light hairs that normally weren't very noticeable had darkened considerably. They looked a bit longer, and a bit thicker too, of course it may have just been the change of color that made them seem that way.
A strange sensation shivered across her body, and the thought that had previously been tucked in the back of her mind now came to the fore; What if the curse was real? What if Kyle actually did something to her? "No, that's not possible." She shook her head as if to throw the thought from her mind. "You can't just transfer weird curses over a telephone..."
Her voice died in her throat as she took a look back at her legs. They were much hairier now, looking as if she hadn't shaved in over a week. And as she peered closer, horror and panic swept into her mind. She could actually see the hairs growing longer!
As hard as it was to believe, Jennifer was finally conceding the thought that the curse was very real, and she had it. Mesmerized, she watched as more and more hairs appeared on her arms and legs. They slowly pushed out of her skin, growing thicker and longer, grouping together to form lock after lock of curly black wool.
As it continued, Jennifer discovered the change was happening all over her body. She saw the same hairs sprout across her chest, growing fast and covering her entire torso until there was nowhere on her body save her feet and hands where you could see through to the skin. Peering underneath her pink bra, she noticed that even her nipples were almost totally obscured by the tangles of wool that now dominated her landscape.
Her hands felt funny, and she realized that she couldn't move her fingers properly. They were joining together, her index with her middle and her ring with her pinky. Soon they had melted to form two thick fingers that ended in hard, black nails. Her thumbs had thickened as well, also sporting large fingernails.
Looking down at her feet, she saw they looked strange inside their socks. She pulled them off, finding that they, too, had transformed. Both of them only contained two thick toes with the same type of hard nails.
Something told Jennifer this was only the beginning, as now her face began to tingle and her perception became dizzy.
