Everything went dark.
Slowly, Selina woke up. She stared at the nondescript ceiling above her, trying to get her bearings. After a few moments, she attempted to move so she could figure out where she was. To her horror, she couldn’t even roll over!
Upset, all Selina could do was wail at the top of her lungs. In a few seconds, someone appeared and picked her up.
“Aw, come her, sweetheart,” the stranger cooed. “Does someone need a fresh diapy?” Selina continued to wail, upset at what had happened to her. The stranger stuck a finger down the back of her diaper. “Hmm, no. Oh, let me guess. You’re confused. Don’t worry, Selina, here at the hospital, we know who you are and what age you’re supposed to be.”
Selina stopped crying.
“Did you really think the security guard would get away with what he did? No. In fact…” The stranger turned, allowing Selina to see a crib with a baby sleeping inside. “As punishment for his actions, we’ve put him in the same boat as you. He’s a newborn now, too.”
A newborn? Well, that explained why Selina couldn’t even roll over or lift her head.
“We can’t do anything with you until you’re back to your proper age, but we can’t use the antidote on you until the pills are fully out of your system. And since you got eight at once, that’ll take a while.”
Great.
“But until then, you’ll have a place to stay. You’ll be staying…”
