"What?" Mariel asked innocently, "its common for strippers to use fake names... You do know that much about the world don't you?"
"Yes Mom, but what I don't understand is that you want me to come with you. In what context?"
"Well I thought you could be a dancer like me, It could be a mother/daughter thing. Wouldn't that be fun?"
"Honestly, no." Jeff said a little harsher than he meant, "Look Mom. Every fiber of my being tells me that I am a man, just like every fiber of your being tells you that this is something you need to explore." Mariel looked hurt. "Listen, I know the Chronivac could force me to like being a woman, but that sounds as horrible to me as going back and forcing you to like something you fundamentally don't. This is who you are and I support you exploring what that means for you, but please don't make me be less of myself just because you're excited about being more of yourself."
Mariel saw Jeff looked scared, "Oh my god, Honey! No! I just..." She had planned on changing Jeff into a stripper even if he needed a little convincing but realized she was very excited and projecting her feelings about switching genders on every male. "I just really wanted your support on my first day, finally fulfilling a long held dream... I won't make you join me."
"I'm not against joining or supporting you, Mom. I just would hate doing so as a woman. Being with you as a guy would be fine."
"You mean that?"
"Yeah, go to town," Jeff got up and motioned to the computer chair. "I need to use the bathroom. I'll be right back and we can finish figuring this all out."
Mariel sat at the computer desk and started coming up with a plan for Jeff and was still trying to figure out a name for herself. Offering to bring Jess there as a woman and dancer seemed like such a obviously good idea, but now the thought of Jeff being there was so much less appealing... He's too young and immature for this... Mariel realized she was being unfair and began changing Jeff's settings, applying packages and creating a role for Jeff to fill for the night, or maybe while Mariel existed.
