"Oh! I've got the perfect idea." Rei answered quickly to everyone.
"Oh no, please don't say, 'why don't we just tell them the truth'? Because I don't think you've told your parents that your girlfriend is half vampire." Nat said pointing at Rei who blushed while rubbing her neck.
"Well, more like we tell them a half truth. You know, like we're going somewhere for our summer vacation?" Rei replied.
"Ah, that's a splendid idea. I'm sure the three of you would have a hard time telling your parents where you're really going." Nova said to Miles, Miranda, and Rei.
"But what exactly do we tell our parents?" Miles asked Rei and Nova.
"Well, as Rei said: tell your parents that you're going on a..." Nova tried to think of a place.
"Oh! A summer retreat!" Nat blurted out.
"Great idea." Rei said hugging Nat.
"Yes, you're going on a summer retreat in the woods with your friends. An excellent idea. You can all tell your parents the same thing and it won't be a total lie." Nova said as she went to go talk with Jacob and Nina some more.
Miles and Miranda called their parents while Rei called her own parents to tell them about their trip with their new friends. Miles and Miranda's parents, Miguel and Gabrielle were happy that their kids were going somewhere for the summer instead of hanging around the house. They also cringed a little when they could hear their mother trying not to giggle as they knew their parents could be very affectionate with each other. It seemed they'd have some alone time together soon with the kids out of the house.
Rei's parents liked the idea of her going somewhere new and exciting. They had wanted to take Rei on a trip to visit their home countries but didn't have the money at the time for it, so Hanako, Rei's mother thought it best for Rei to go somewhere outside their neighborhood. Hanako jokingly told Rei to stay beside Nat at all times to be safe.
"Nat, what about your parents?" Miranda asked Nat as Nat picked up her cell phone and called her mom.
"Hey mom, you know Spark? Yes, that fairy we met. Well her mom came by and wants to take her and us to the land of fairies to see the queen." Nat said into her phone as she nodded for a moment then looked over at Nova.
"Uh, excuse me, Mrs. Spark's mom? Sorry I don't know if you have a last name. My mom wants to know if you're chaperoning us?" Nat called out.
"Yes, myself and my older daughters will all make sure you're okay in the land of fairies." Nova replied.
"She will mom. Okay. Yes, I'll also keep Rei close by. Love you too, give dad my love as well, bye." Nat said as she hung up.
"See it benefits when I don't have to hide so much from my folks." Nat said.
Spark had overheard Nat and was still a little tense about meeting the queen with Connor.
"I really hope this works out." Spark said holding Connor's hand.
"Hey, we're all kids from two different worlds. We know what it's like." Rei said to Spark who gave her a hopeful smile.
"Thanks. I promise you guys you'll love the land of the fairies." Spark said as they all heard a flushing sound.
"Spark, how far is the toilet water supposed to come up?" Midna called out to Spark as Jacob Moreland rushed to the bathroom whilst grabbing a plunger.
