“Well, who is giving me back my years? Hm?”
The older boys looked at each other, struggling to come up with ideas.
"Well, Dennis won that race and wanted to use your years, so maybe he can give you some of his," Oliver suggested.
"What!? No way am I gonna have my balls rise back up! If anything, Benji should keep being Mr. Nice Guy and give up his years to you. Maybe you two can be friends," Dennis shouted.
"Fuck you, Dennis! The only reason he's even in this mess is because Oliver here wanted to mess with him! He should be the one to do it!"
The boys continued to argue while Marcus remained silent. The boy was in despair over everything he had lost. He'd have to start the last 8 years of his life over, starting with the fourth grade. He did not look forward to experiencing elementary school with the mind of a high school senior. Marcus was on the verge of a tantrum when a football landed by his feet.
To his left, two boys around the same age as he was now were throwing the football around. One of them, a boy named Chase, made the bad throw. Though startled, Marcus threw the ball back at Chase.
"Sorry kid, my throws kinda suck," Chase said before catching the football, "Say, tha was a good throw. Wanna hang out with us?"
Marcus was hesitant with the invitation. He was about to say something before Oliver intervened.
"Would you excuse us please?" Oliver ushered Marcus far enough away so that they would hopefully not be overheard.
"I think it's a good idea to play with them. It'll help ya get used to being a kid, being with other kids and all. Besides, it'll help keep your mind off this while the boys and I figure out how to make ya older again," Oliver said.
"I dunno..." Marcus was still defeated over his lost maturity.
"Look little bro, you used that Pubertaway for a reason, right? Well..."
While Oliver continued his lecture to Marcus, Chase turned to his friend Nick and had a question.
"Nick, did he just say Pubertaway?"
"Dude, quiet! You know it's rude to eavesdrop!"
Minutes later, a decision was made. Marcus had agreed to spend time with Chase and Nick. The two boys did not mind Marcus' odd clothing choices, and the three soon continued their game with the football.
