Transform or Dare?

Locker Conversation

added 17 years ago O

Jennifer's last class was the worst of all. The air conditioning in her physics room was broken, and the afternoon sun was peering in from the windows. What parts of her that could were sweating, and she couldn't help but pant irregularly.

Taking notes was as hard as ever. She had been getting used to her long forearm feathering getting tangled in her pencil and covering her notes with its sheer spread, but now she was fighting her own blurring vision and wandering mind. Every three words that formed in her head were related to either revenge on Liz, or finding Kyle.

When class was finally dismissed, Jennifer stumbled out of the room. After lapping up a good amount of water from the nearest fountain, she made her way through the crowds to her locker. When she arrived, she realized that at least one of her problems was about to be resolved.

"Having a good day?" Kyle asked. He was leaning against Jennifer's locker and smiling as if he had won the Nobel Prize.

"I'm not even going to ask how you knew where my locker was," Jennifer said coldly. Kyle threw up his hands in a "whatever" gesture and stepped aside while Jennifer fumbled to open the lock with her thick fingers.

"You know what wool does during summer time?"

"Is that your pickup line for sheep-girls?"

"Wool is great to trap in heat during winter months, but in the summer it's able to prevent the worst heat from passing through to its wearer. How do you think regular sheep can stand it all day?"

"Am I supposed to be impressed by your disturbing obsession with sheep?"

"I'm trying to explain that you'd be having a much easier time if you removed those clothes."

Jennifer finally released her lock and threw open the door. It hit the next locker with a loud clang. "So THAT'S it! The great master plan of Kyle Perkins was to get me SO HOT that I'd have to remove all my clothes for him!"

"I have to admit, the dare I had in mind for you involved a bit of stripping."

Jennifer angrily shoved books into her locker, not bothering to check which ones they were. "You're a very sick little boy."

"And you're an impossibly dense bitch."

"And I'm proud of it!" Jennifer slammed her locker shut, resulting in an even louder clang that made several nearby students turn their heads. "Nothing to see here! Just Sheep-Girl and Nerd of the Year making dinner plans!" she shouted to the confused observers. "Get going!"

"So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow," Kyle muttered as he started to turn away. Jennifer wondered, did she really feel like allying herself with the cause of her problems?
