It was like any other day for Tyrese. He was working his construction job downtown, the job which he’s worked for the past twenty years of his life. It was a full time job, well part time if you consider being a superhero on the side his main job. For Tyrese, it was a miracle that his secret identity was never found out. There aren’t many seven foot, giant muscular men walking around Normalville and his super hero costume doesn’t even have a mask!
Despite the hard work, Tyrese still loved his job. He had lots of friends at work, even if they all were kind of meatheads. The only thing he didn’t like was his boss, Nigel Goodham, the son of a billionaire who took over the construction company as a side project, and knows next to nothing about the field. Today though, they were back at work constructing the new city center set to be the tallest building in all of Normalville. The building didn’t come without controversy though as it’s replacing one of the only parks located downtown. Despite the protests from environmentalists, it’s set to be completed by the end of the year and complete the beautiful downtown city square.
Tyrese and a few of his buddies from work, Mark, Samuel, and Jason were all taking their lunch break on a bench right outside the construction zone when suddenly they heard a loud eruption from down the street as a slab of concrete flew by down the road. They all looked down the road only to see a huge dark tree nearly 200 feet in diameter spring out from the ground under the center of the city square. Large branches and leaves sprawled out from the top of the tree and slowly encroached onto nearby buildings. Roots began to tear up the nearby concrete as the tree began to stretch out.
On the top of the tree, Tyrese could make out the figure of a lady with green hair, wearing a bark, leaf, and flower covered outfit. It was the supervillain Mother Nature! Last time he saw her was almost two years ago when she attempted to destroy the new football stadium by invading it with hundreds of beavers because it was polluting the river.
“What the fuck is that!” Shouted Jason, as the Tyrese led his three coworkers to shelter behind a couple of cranes in the constitution zone, where a couple of his fellow coworkers were huddled up. Just as they reached safety they could hear her yell out. “For too long the people of Normallville have upset the balance of nature by destroying the wilderness, polluting our waterways, and driving away our wildlife! Today I will reclaim what is rightfully ours and nature will heal!”
People continued to scatter away from the city center as the tree continued to grow and vines, roots, and branches continued to spread to the nearby buildings. She began to shout out again “These ugly creations of concrete and metal will soon be replaced by a lush beautiful forest for all wildlife enjoy! And that includes you citizens of Normalville! Though your forms will need a bit of an upgrade to better suit your new habitat..” Suddenly a green and blue sparkling light began to surround her as her eyes began to glow a bright blue.
Mother Nature then motioned her hands towards a nearby group of three businessmen exiting the nearby bank and fleeing down the road as a blue light began to engulf the ground around them. The ground began to shift from sidewalk to dirt, and the pavement crumbled and flowers and grass began to rise up from underneath. The businessmen then began to fall to the ground as their suits slowly dissipated off their body and their arms began to grow a variety of fur. Two of the businessmen suddenly burst out of their clothing and grew out into a buck and a buffalo. The other businessman started to slowly crawl backwards in shock as his form slowly started to shift when suddenly his arms became green wings and hit feet became orange before suddenly shrinking into a mallard duck before letting out a loud fearful “QUACK”.
Tyrese quickly rushed behind a nearby porta potty, changing into his outfit before rushing out into the street as “The Force”…
