“Haha, very funny Dennis. Chill Marcus, no one is going to use the gel with your ages. Right, Dennis?”
“Yeah, I was just joking.” Dennis laughed nervously. “Why don’t we just all go inside and enjoy some pizza and watch a movie?”
“Fine, but hand over the container,” Marcus said attempting to lower his boyish voice to show his seriousness.
“No way! I still won the race and will be holding onto this until we come up with another challenge. Unless you’d rather I throw it away?”
“Fine, but I’m warning you…”
Dennis walked over Marcus. He was used to having to look up to him all his life as the younger and shorter guy, but finally Marcus was the one who has to look up even if Dennis was only a few inches taller than him and not a whole foot and some inches.
“What are you going to do little guy. Sure you might technically be older than me but that was before you decided to turn yourself into a little boy so you’re going to pipe down, enjoy whatever pizza we order and movie we watch and deal with the consequences of your own actions.”
With that Dennis, Oliver and Marcus headed inside while Benji went on home for the day.
After ordering pizza, the three settled in and started a movie. It was great and all but all Dennis could think about was the container in his pocket and what using it would be like. If he used half of Marcus could still age up a bit maybe he’d finally get that growth spurt he’d been waiting for.
While he was 15, he was smaller for his age with no muscle mass and coming in at a less than commanding 5’7.
“Oliver this pizza isn’t sitting well with me, remind where the bathroom is before I barf all over the couch!”
“Upstairs, second door on the right. Dude, if you throw up on the carpet you’re totally cleaning it up.” Oliver said waving him away before he blew.
Dennis ran up the stairs to the bathroom and locked the door behind him. He pulled the container with Marcus’s years out of his pocket and held it before his face.
He was never sick, he just needed an excuse to sneak off to the bathroom so that he could use the shower and see how this stuff worked.
He took his shoes and clothes off and folded them, setting them on the counter next to the sink and climbed into the shower with the container. He began to turn on the water when there was a knock at the door.
“Dennis, are you okay in there?”
“Ugh, that pizza really didn’t sit well with me. I might be up here a few. I’m too afraid to leave the toilet.”
“Okay, we’ll if you need anything just yell down the stairs.”
“Thanks man!”
Dennis waited a minute to make sure his friend had left before turning on the water. He stared at the container trying to figure out how much he should use. That’s when it hit him, why not go big and use it all!
