You decide to head to the fashion district to get some better fitting clothes.
Strangely, as you pass by street signs and stores you've seen before, the words are in English but don't seem to make sense to you. Shaking it off, you recognize a very on-trend store you've often passed by but never attempted to shop at.
Entering, you immediately head towards the tank-top section and find a few L and XL options and finding some jeans on a rack nearby, you wonder what your inseam is now. To be safe, you pick up an option in the "athletic fit" section with your old inseam and waist measurement.
In the change room, something is immediately obvious, you definitely do not have the same long legs you previously had, the 32" inseam is much too long, but the jeans are so tight in the thighs. The attendant comes by the room and asks "Is everything fitting OK so far?". You reply, "Yes, but think will need a....short...er long--length, and bigger around thigh", stumbling a bit with your English. Is it getting worse?, you think to yourself. You throw the jeans over the door, and in the meantime try on the tank-tops you found.
The first one has blue and white stripes across it, and fits well. "Guess XL is my...umm..size now, but look like Greek flag--THE Greek flag", you say aloud, there's that accent again. You try on the solid light blue one in XL, and it contrasts so nicely against your new dark olive complexion, and decide its a keeper. Your chest hair also sticks out of the top. You notice that even thought the shirt fits well on your chest and shows off your arms, it's a little longer than you're used to.
The attendant returns with the shorter pair of jeans in the 28" inseam and wider waist, and trying them on still stretches the fabric a bit, but they're quite comfortable and you decide to grab both of them. Before you try on more stuff, you look at the tags to see the prices of both, but the numbers seem to not make sense, and don't really look familiar to your eyes. Once again shaking it off, you see that they add up to about $100 and decide that's enough shopping for today.
Time to cash out and go home and try to figure out what's happening.
