Callum regains consciousness on contact with human skin. He looks around to see a towering Luke holding him in his hand. Callum tries to move but to his horror, he can't. He tries to make noise, but can't either.
"Do you think it could be Callum?" Asks Brayden.
"Doubt it," replies Luke, "Callum was turned into the machine and not the things inside. Right?"
"Guess you're right. But there's still a possibility."
"Well yeah. But a low one."
"Luke! I'm in your hands," Callum yells silently. He knows it's practically fruitless but there's still a thin slither of hope that Luke, or someone will hear him.
"So cute," says Ruby, "I would cuddle him until the end of the world."
"He?" Questions Luke.
"Yeah. Well, maybe. Just a preference thing, plus if it is Callum. It makes sense."
"Mmm," says Luke in agreement.
"Luke. Can you please put your toy away," says Mr Jackson, "and class. Can you please stop staring at the machine?" The class collectively groan and they focus back towards their teacher.
Luke puts Callum into his backpack. Callum is helpless as he is plunged into his classmates dark backpack.
"Let me see it," says Luke's friend Trey. Luke pulls the plush wolf out of his backpack, "and you won that from the claw machine that is Callum?"
"Yeah," Luke nods.
"Not going to lie. Does look pretty cute."
"Yeah," admits Luke. Callum blushes, "Especially with his colours
