...you feel the crib bouncing lightly, all on it's own- and that's just the beginning! You look around, seeing thin, blue, glowing lines on everything, and a lot more rounded and smooth corners on everything. You turn to Maya and ask, "What did you do?"
"Well..." She said, giggling a little. "I've been loving this so much, the not having to do or know anything that I made it so no one does, ever! We never have ta grow up!"
You're a little shocked, but also confused. "How? Don't we need adults to take care of us, and do all that important stuff?"
"I used the notebook to replace em with robots! Now the whole world is super advanced and living like babies forever is just how things are!"
"Really? That's amazing, Maya! I love you!" You hold her hand, giving her a little kiss on the cheek. She smiles, and wets her diaper without even noticing. "Do you wanna read what I wrote, so there's no surprises?"
"Sure! Just hand me the notebook."
She does, and it now reads as follows:
People learn to crawl at 16 and never learn to walk.
Diapers are used throughout their lives.
They never grow teeth.
They learn the basics of talking at 35, and never any more.
Pacifiers, booties, rompers, and all babyish clothes are considered normal regardless of age.
There is no education- you never have to learn anything.
Robots completely took over for adults lifetimes ago, and this is just how things are.
People live to 200 years old.
By the time you finish reading up on how things are now, you'd wet your diaper, too. You also hear something coming, and put the notebook away.
It turns out to be a robot, one of your caretakers! It hovers, with a glowing blue smiling face, and a mostly human body, except for the arms- it has four long, soft looking tentacles in place of arms. It coos at you and Maya, picking you both up with a tentacle- they're warm, and soft, much like your wet diapers. It has noticed them, and sets you both on a pair of hover-changing tables on the other side of the room. "You two are so cute, just like your mommies and daddies! They're in the playroom- you'll see them right after you're changed!"
It removes both of your diapers, setting them in a floating disposal bin, and wipes both of you with expert care and ease before swaddling you both in fresh diapers. It picks you back up and whisks you away to the playroom, where you finally see how adults look in this world- like you, but everything's larger. Bigger shirts that only cover their tops, bigger strides when crawling, and bigger diapers. Your mom is sitting up, barely, while playing with a toy piano, and your dad is coloring with some sort of touch screen, and there's a pile of plushies in the center. Your both set down, and it seems Maya somehow managed to snag the notebook. You..?
