"Lisa, honey? We're here."
Angela woke up and looked down. She was wearing a pink T-shirt with ponies on it, purple jeans and sneakers. But the strangest part was that she was strapped into an oversized booster seat, even though she was a fully-grown adult.
"Ready for kindergarten?" the voice said. Angela could see the voice belonged to a young woman in the driver's seat, who looked like she was in her early 30s. "Yes, mommy" said Angela.
Mrs. Garner got out of the car and undid the straps to Angela's booster seat. Then, to her surprise, Angela was lifted out of the car by Mrs. Garner, as if Mrs. Garner possessed superhuman strength.
"My goodness, you're getting heavy," Mrs. Garner said. "Don't grow up too fast on my account."
"Oh, you have no idea", Angela thought. She was getting a good look at her reflection in the car window, and could see that her hair was now done up in pigtails.
"Give mommy a hug before you go?" Mrs. Garner said, still carrying Angela in her arms.
Angela shrugged and hugged her "mommy". Even if she was a complete stranger to Angela, it still felt nice. Mrs. Garner then put her "daughter" down, and pulled out her backpack. Angela took it and headed towards the school building.
"Have a good day, sweetie!" Mrs. Garner called.
Angela saw all the other kindergarteners, all of whom she towered over. She smiled. "I think I will have a good day", Angela thought.
