A large, shaggy dog, probably someone's pet, you think to yourself. And if it is out here in the woods with you, then surely it has a home not too far away from here. You look up at the dog as it comes closer to you and smile. You try getting up and grimace as you become aware of your aching body. You offer the dog your left hand while rubbing your throbbing head. It licks your hand while happily wagging its tail. You smile again as you ask yourself question after question about how you wound up here with this dog.You scratch the dog behind one of its shaggy, docked ears before finally getting back up on your two feet. A cool breeze blows through the trees around you and down your back. You shiver and put your hands in your pant pockets for warmth. Your new canine friend barks at you and you look down at it. It trots around you and then up a path. Wagging its tail happily behind it, the dog turns around and looks back at you. And at that moment, you have this feeling that it wants you to follow it.
