"Oh, wait a minute," says Suzi. "Grow? Could I try that on myself? I'd like to be taller. A lot taller, actually. Why don't I give that a try?"
"Wait, Suzi," you say, still frozen in your spot. "Be careful with that thing. You don't want to turn into a giant here."
Suzi does not react positively. She flips the switch to the gun on something you can't see and points it at you. "Look asshole," she says, "I don't have to put up with any shit from you anymore." What did you ever do to her? "Shut your mouth or I'll shrink you down and stomp on you." You shudder. The way she looks right now, she'd probably do it. "Hey, I'm not saying anything," you answer back. "I'm just telling you to remember to stay in control of that thing."
"Whatever," she shoots back, and flips the switch again. "Let's see how this works." She points the gun at herself and fires.
She immediately grows in size until her head brushes against the ceiling. By the time she stops, she has to stoop when she stands, and the ceilings in the office are about ten feet high. You guess she could be twelve or thirteen feet tall. She poses an intimidating figure.
"THIS IS AWESOME!" she shouts, in a voice all the more intimidating by her new size. Without casting a second glance in your direction, she immediately leaves the room. You briefly consider running off to hide, but you're not sure what that will accomplish.
You walk out of the office and look down the hall, towards the big open cubicle area where most people work. By slowly walking over, you get a pretty good view from the hallway, where you can see Suzi wreaking havoc. Right as you arrive, in fact, you see her kick your desk pretty hard, leaving a big dent in the side. At first you worry that she has it in for you, but then she throws a bunch of papers off a file cabinet and then punches a hole in the wall. Maybe she's just really angry. You realize she probably hates working here; everyone treats her sort of dismissively and gives her little more than a curt hello. You wish you'd been nicer to her now.
Of course, you treated her better than some people in the office. "HEY STEVE, THIS IS FOR ALL THOSE TIMES YOU TRIED GROPING ME," she says, and then she punches a guy in the face. Her fist is close to the size of his head, and he literally flies off before crashing into the wall, as papers fall onto his head. You look around the room and see most people are frozen to their desks, terrified of attracting Suzi's attention. A couple of dudes sneak past you while she's distracted, crouching as they scurry away. You wonder again if you should do the same.
Suzi stands up and smiles, looking around. "THIS IS AWESOME. I SHOULD CALL MY FRIENDS." In a sudden burst of insight, you realize what that must mean: Suzi is going to walk back down the hallway to her desk, where she'll have to enlarge her cell phone to call her friends. You don't even think about what would happen with a bunch of girls Suzi's size, but more suddenly you realize you're right in her path.
Fortunately, you realize this a bit quicker than Suzi does, and you decide to take off, hoping you can get out of her path before she sees you. She might not actually hate you, but with the mood she's in, you don't want to find out either way.
